Disappointing day. Overcast until 4pm, when clear sky moved in from the east. Maximum temperature here in East Northants for Friday 14.7C.
Currently at midnight:
Pressure: 1012mB
Humidity: 96%
Temperature: 3.7C
A lot chillier night than recently. Currently clear, so unless the cloud and outbreaks of drizzly stuff moves in from East Anglia in the next few hours a touch of ground frost looks possible.

Very similar here...
Temperature -0.2C
Relative Humidity 81%
Pressure 1020mB
A hefty sleet/wet snow shower about 5pm yesterday has led to widespread ice forming.

Last post tonight, snow again falling here. Rather light but its all sticking. Not a wasted flake in sight.
-
Snow this morning between 8-10am gave nearly an inch. But it was wet stuff and disappeared by midday.
Started snowing at 8Pm lasting until 10pm, gave a dusting which isn't budging as the temperature is now -1C and the dew point at -4C. Just started up again after a brief clear interlude. This snow is dry, and as it has been dry since mid-morning until 8Pm its all settling, especially given the air temps now.
One or two heavier showers wouldn't go a miss and it might be a winter wonderland.

Snowing moderately just outside Rushden, East Northants at 3am. Mix of decent sized flakes and soft hail, covering the grass, cars, pavements away from houses. I'd be very surprised if it comes to anything mind.
-
Starting to snow in Rushden now.
-
Occassional showers of sleet here this afternoon... very overcast... forecasted to turn to snow overnight. As for last weeks snow, only the snowmen are left standing and a few of their heads have fallen off.
-
Sleet with a few wet flakes mixed in at 1.45pm. Whoopee.
-
Snowing quite moderately in Leicester... settling too!
What a pleasant surprise after yesterdays disappointment...
-
Its been snowing here since I got in from work at about 6.30pm. Mostly light but the odd moderate spurt. About 4cm on the grass, 2cm on pavements, roads. Virtually all of this mornings snow cover was gone by the time it started settling again this evening.
-
Moderate snow shower here. Good sized flakes falling now and accumulating quickly. Everything settling, adding to 2cm from light snow between 9-11pm last night. Worth reporting, unlike the rubbish stuff so here far

Wahey... a half decent snow shower here at the minute. And so it blooming well should be, i've been tracking it on the radar for the past hour or so. It passed through Lincoln ages ago, fizzled a little but seems to have pepped up. Joy. Only settling on the cars and roofs, but nevertheless almost worth waiting up for.

Hurrah! The first snow shower of the day in Rushden. They've been 20-30 miles east all day over Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, so signs are afoot the wind is starting to veer to the east.
-
Light snow on and off for the past hour here in East Northants... i'm very optimistic now!
-
Light soft hail shower in Leicester at 15.30pm.
-
Drove through two brief snow flurries on the way to work between Market Harborough and Leicester on the A6 between 6.30-7am this morning. Did appear to be settling. Had a snow shower at home last night at about 11.30pm before bed, but didn't settle.
-
Light Sleet here... don't think anything heavier is likely to reach me.
-
East Northamptonshire at nearly 2am...
1 degree C approximately
Some high cloud, otherwise clear
Wind currently NNW light
Approximately 1017mb
... no snow tonight ...
Digital weather station coming soon for 30th birthday!

Heavy rain was Sleety/ snow and lots of hail lay on the floor when i left school and thunder mixed in also.
What catergorie would this be??
Hopefully if the temp drops we could have a bit of November again??
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Yes thunder and hail in Leicester at 3pm, thereafter just sleet. The hail gave a covering which is now melting. Unfortunately I suspect if this had come along earlier in the day it would have been snow, but not to be.

Went out for a walk on the front at Weston-Supermare about 1pm. Noticed some parts of Wales on the other side of the Bristol Channel were snow covered. A snow shower came along about 2ish but didn't quite make it here but obscured the view across to Wales. It's too warm here in any case. No snow in the north east or in the east midlands either. Bah humbug!

As I posted that, some light snow has justed started falling here in Rushden!
-
My mum texted me about 30 minutes ago to tell me its snowing and settling in my home town of Yarm, near Middlesbrough.
-
Torrential downpour accompanied by thunder and lightening directly overhead between 3.30-4.30pm in Headington NE of Oxford City centre. Clear Blue Skies now!!!
-
Torrential rain, gusty wind and rumbles of thunder here in Oxford as this minute in time, moved in from the east.
