    Out of interest Dazmaster, what sort of cloud have you got (I know it's sad question). Cloudier here, but still broken and dispersed.

    Very cold NW winds. ppn looked really good but seems a bit broken now. Very slight sleet shower about 15 mins ago. Hope things get better than this!

    2C Dry but clouding over - can see the frontal system approaching from the NW, darker and thicker in the distance. Can feel it getting colder. Just hoping this produces snow here...

    -2C Blizzard and white out. Not really, pretty much same as TWS but probably a degree higher.

    Thanks TWS for the reminder of the geography behind this snowless region. We moved from Malvern in Worcestershire, where the Malvern Hills always got a covering. Guess I'll have to get used to travelling to snow rather than waiting for it! Happy New Year!

    Have had the heaviest and most prolonged period of driving... sleet I've known for a long time. :? Why did I move to the West Coast of Lancashire? What a x place for snow this is! :cry: :cry:

    Very heavy...SLEET mmm lovely! Mind you I am on the coast so would have been surprised if it did snow.

    Currently Zero with thickening cloud cover and a gentle but very gradually strengthening breeze (W/NW).

    Very cold with some heavy sleety rain here (Lytham St Annes), hoping for snow when temps drop.
