  1. Well still heavy snow here in Barry. Met Office has us down for heavy snow up until 6am, not sure if that needs updating though as I can't see it lasting that long.
  2. Snow now starting to settle after having snow all day and melting as quick as it was landing, roads and now pavments covered.....another 4 or 5 hours of this please
  3. Snowing heavy here in Barry, has settled to once wet roads. So the snow not going further west than Cardiff has now been blown out of the water. I think some will find this going further west than at first thought.
  4. Just dropped the Mother-in-law home and the snow started again with some big old flakes.
  5. Well here in Barry it has been snowing almost all day with breaks inbetween, we had moderate to heay snow for about 2-3 hours this morning but temps and dew points were to high. Major thaw went on as well. Temp now seems to be dropping currently 0.7c and dew point at 0c. Has just now stopped snowing again, although it was light with small flakes.
  6. Surprised to wake up with a covering here in Barry, it has just stopped snowing.
  7. There does seem to be a bit more snow in the mix now, but it could be I'm tired lol. Off to bed now and see what I wake up to. Hope you get some snow.
  8. Well if it is sleet where I am, usually it is snow at the top end of Barry. So I would say could well be snow for you.
  9. Exactly what I said to the Mrs.....temp seems to be rising slightly, now 0.9C and with me only being approx a mile from the coast and only 33m asl not expecting much more than sleet to be honest. As I thought, looking at the netweather extra radar, looks as if it is turning to sleet/rain as it comes over the channel.
  10. That precipitation looks like it is heading for me lol. Temp at the moment 0.7C dew point 0.7C, will it be snow or will it be rain????? Looks as if my son's school had inside info as we had a text at 3.30pm saying that 4" of snow has been forecast so school will be closed tomorrow, the only school throughout the Vale of Glamorgan
  11. snowing heavily here in barry, albeit small flakes flakes getting bigger now
  12. Likewise, Barry has heavy snow forecast up to 9pm......not to sure on this, unless the front stalls Al if you look at the forecast for barry it has the red warning symbol next to the 3hr timelines
  13. Snow still falling lighty, I can hear lots of dripping though. Looks like a thaw has set in, can't complain, got about 2-3cm OOps, now heavy again
  14. MetO has heavy snow for barry from 3am to 3am saturday then reverting to light snow bring it on

  16. Sleety here in Barry, with big flakes. Didn't expect anything apart from horrible cold rain. Light snow now, but big flakes
  17. Yep, Looking good for East/South East Wales. Even for us in Barry. Hope it doesn't come earlier as I am travelling to and from Bristol today. Fingers crossed we get a good snowfall tonight.
  18. Fingers crossed eh!!!!!! Seems strange, looking at wunderground website for weather data for Barry and it is warmer here then any surrounding weather stations. But Barry is the L A of Wales HA HA
  19. Looks on the forecast that we will just get rain here in Barry, but they said that last week when we had about 5 hours of snow, although none of it settled. Will have to wait and see what it brings. Ideally would like it to start after 3pmish as it not nice installing windows in the snow/rain lol.
  20. Snowing here in barry, started as sleet. Won't stick though ground soaking and not heavy enough
  21. Had an almighty crack of thunder about 20 mins ago which then unleashed about an inch of hail in 5 mins. I know no chance of snow here in Barry in the near future but nice seeing everything white from the hail.
  22. Rain/Sleet/Soft Hail here in Barry, not sure of snow but it does feel very cold.
