  1. Hi Lancia, any chance that main band coming up from France can make it here later? Im in Poole.
  2. Sizzling is this low coming up from France likely to affect our area here in Poole. Im in Parkstone lol.
  3. I am bitterly disappointed with events on here so far tonight when everyone is enjoying theyre snow and not having any here in snow starved Poole on the central south coast I have appealed many times for those with radar or a greater knowledge than I If there is any possibility of getting anything here, but it seems all they want to do is post charts showing what affects there own area without a thought for those appealing for information of theyre hopes. If I dont get a reply within 15 mins im off to bed in disgust. Depressed member lol.
  4. Waiting here in Poole too .What is about this area that always yields zilch in the way of snow. All the charts show snow for us but I feel we must be too far west and this is gonna be an eastern thing only.
  5. Cmon now this just isnt fair not one flake here in Bournemouth and yet all the warnings say snow. Not one flake in 4 years and no more than 1 inch in 23. what is about this force shield around us. Anyone out there with radar can give me and the kids some hope?
  6. Met office have removed all warnings from my area in Bournemouth and yet the forecast on netweather is showig 100% snow for later today and overnight. I dont know who to believe, I have a sinking feeling all this hype is going to be a complete non event for us as per usual.
  7. Im afraid we may get rain here as per usual in Bournemouth would love to build a snowman for the first time ever for the kids. But anyway enjoy all you lucky peeps.
  8. Can anyone with more knowledge than I please tell me if it may snow here in snowless Bournemouth had so many disappointments in past.
  9. Exactly Im trying to understand the latest synoptics and from a total selfish point of view also trying to determine what hope of seeing snowfall in my area of Bournemouth simply because the kids have never seen a real snowman, and instead of concentrating on here and now all they can do is post charts dragged from the other side of mars looking as far ahead in the future as sanity allows and argue about the possibility of snow fall then lol.
  10. Dont post stupid comments like this when you have absolutely no backing for it.
  11. Where would you classify Bournemouth were neither south west or south east, so is there gonna be a thread for cental south lol? Im still expecting those heart dropping phrases from the weathermen to say its likely to be rain or sleet on these coastal fringes. Can anyone with more knowledge than me assure us and the kids that there may be a chance of building a snowman for the first time ever?
  12. This lends more power to jemtoms elbow.
  13. What about the south coast here in Bournemouth, havent seen a snow flake for more than 3 years now, and not more than one inch in 23 are we going to be disappointed again living so close to the coast while it snows all around us.?
  14. not until the 9 o clock watershed please children maybe reading.
  15. Since this subject has been discussed in the Model thread thread today, I thought I'd open a seperate thread. Below are some of the posts - What are your thoughts? I agree entirely, winter for us on the south coast is now officially over, not that it ever began in terms of snowfall as I still havent seen one snowflake here on the central south coast for more than 3 years now. All the models now are pointing to an early spring. The models I am referring to are not the GFS or the ECM but quite simply the blue tits in my garden who are now actively seeking and checking out their nesting boxes. Mother nature is far superior as an indicator to the possible outcome of weather than anything man can allude to.
  16. Thats funnyI was just thinking the same about the yorkies.
  17. Snow ? WHATS THAT. Havent seen a flake for years now here in sunny Bournemouth.
  18. My reply to that is you cant blame people who live in snowless areas like myself on the central south coast who overnight had a pathetic light drizzly rainfall. In fact i have a son of 23 who in his lifetime has never seen more than an inch of snow here in bournemouth. My point is for weeks now so called weather experts have been predicting a winter similar to 62\63 and posting silly charts pulled from the depths of space. Charts i may add that never ever come to fruition and then when the final outcome is always zilch they tell people to just enjoy what we have. One senior forecaster who posts such charts regularly then had the arrogance to say if you dont like the freezing cold without snow then do as he does and go skiing. Well i for one cant afford that luxury as i believe many others on here cant, and i wonder when he is hoping for a record number of ice days does he ever give a thought to millions of old aged people who can ill afford to pay the heating bills.
  19. Happy new year to all you aspiring weather forecasters, my sincere advice is dont give up your present jobs, this coming year is going to be tight. After years of abject disappointment for the possibility of snow I have come to conclusion that the best advice anyone can give me regarding the weather is to look out of my window.
