  1. A very humid -3 here in Bournemouth. Nothing like what you are experiencing but what the hell its still bloody freezing lol.
  2. A balmy -3 here in Bournemouth. We must be having a heatwave.
  3. Poor girl, I can sympathise. I was crawling down the hill today in low gear as I lie at the bottom of a cul de sac. Cars parked left and right of me and reduced to a narrow channel. Car ran across me , instinctively braked missed the moggie and the nearest car by the cats whisker. The driver of the car that freaked her probably had less IQ than that cat.
  4. That ties in with what Francis Wilson said on Sky news weather. Quote. The cold weather will end on either the 19th or 20th of this month.
  5. Hi all if you havent got radar go on to website called rain today and type in your location you can watch the snow approaching from east and ne .Im in Poole, hoping its very close.
  6. Is it my imagination or is that band of snow beginning to move west?
  7. Any chance o being more specific KOLD eg will this be a more easterly low or west?
  8. Why cant that bloody band of snow move west a little and give others a chance. It seems to be circulating around in an anti clockwise circle and taking the same path.
  9. Same here in Poole my friend. Is there any chance on the wrap around it may come back south over us?
  10. Utterly gutted down here in Poole centre of the low, snow to the east west and north. Really believed we would see more than 2 cms in last 24 years. I am convinced ive got more chance of winning the lottery than snow in this area.
  11. Nothing here in Poole, so gutted as usual, anyone knowledgable enough to give us some hope down here?
  12. Where this big snow event is gonna happen is anybodys guess. How can everyone get it so wrong. And where are all the self confessed experts on the model thread who are quick to promise us Armegheddon and disappear when it all goes t==ts up as per usual. Incidentally just had a heavy shower of rain here in sunny Bournemouth. Par for the course I suppose.
  13. Bloody rain just started here in Poole. Gutted happens every time maybe another massive disappointment here on coast. Cant believe our rotten luck.
  14. In answer to some posters question of. How has this low developed over land? As I understand it unstable air conditions arise when the wet ground is warmed {eg the sun} the air will rise and keep rising. Eventually this will lead to cold enough air to produce cloud and rain, or in this case hopefully snow.
  15. Its nice to see this thread being reborn lol so to speak. After all the bias concerning the se. Its great to see that we at last have a chance of something special. Lets hope it comes to fruition and good luck to all posters on this thread. Enjoy. And if you feel the need to gloat, would love to see some snow pics.
  16. Here in POOLE Im hoping for 10cm Never seen more than 2cm in 20 years lol.
  17. Coldest? Meridian forecast for central south coast were showing rain showers and possible heavier pulses of snow mixed in. What kind of a forecast is that lol. So many different views. Who on earth do you believe?
  18. Lets all hope that the 18z is completely drunk because if everything is further se surely that removes the threat of next weekends snow for areas further west.
  19. Missed the country file forecast, what was the general outlook for us in sw. although marginal over here in Bournemouth.
  20. Absolutely agree there,Ive also had posts removed even when I assumed them to be relevant. It seems to me that if you question the so called experts on their opinions the hierarchy have the arrogance to remove them. There was an example a few days back when a lady from the IOW said it never snows there and asked why. The answer from one so called respected member was, What do you expect living on a small island surrounded by warm seas. I believe this is unacceptable, If the same question was asked by someone in theyre own area I am quite sure the answer would have been different. Living here in Poole dorset you somehow get the impression of being isolated from the so called learned ones.
  21. Thank you for your reply, my post may have been misleading, I live in Poole Dorset. Sorry for any misunderstanding, I sincerely hope that we are as lucky as others.
  22. Joe B on sw forum suggesting a crippling snowstorm for south and mid England within a week.
  23. You cant blame people for being pessimistic, It may turn out to be a memorable winter regarding low temperatures and longevity of cold, but without snow it will not be remembered as a severe winter. Thats just the way it is. Here on the central south coast it will always be marginal as per usual regarding the snow and could so easily be dismissed as another crap winter.
  24. Can we have whats left over? havent seen a single flake this year down in Poole lol.
  25. Very sensible post .The building blocks are in place and living in snowless Bournemouth and hoping for snow from this can i ask where do you post? The central south post is as barren as the weather so we can only look to the sw thread and se thread to second guess from the more knowledgable members whether possible snow in their areas might encroach into ours lol.
