  1. That wind blown now earlier stopped for last hour, but it’s now snowing very very lightly now. Not the blowing in the wind type. 2.7c
  2. A high of 7.3c mid afternoon yesterday. 3.4c at midnight. Now 2.4c Plenty of small flakes blowing in the wind in last half hour. Not enough to settle. Still it is snow, not sleet, so can say it’s the first snow of the season. Not sure how far inland it has gone from the coast.
  3. Very cloudy yesterday, 8c max mid afternoon. Low of 2.9c at 1am this morning. Now 4.3c, no frost. A good watch is the Met office deep dive on snow yesterday. Really good focus at times on our region with the current battle;
  4. A slight frost yesterday and low of 0c at 6am, with a high midday of 6c. A low of -0.5c at 3am today, temp slowly on the rise since then, now 3c. No frost this morning.
  5. The amber wind warning has been dropped now for us, just a yellow. Forecasts also showing a little downgrade in last hour, on wind speeds and highest gusts to early 40s. Wind has picked up W 20 mph. Light grey skies, no rain, but feels as if that is just about to arrive from West.
  6. First phase passed through ok here. Noisy wind, thundery showers. Highest gust was 38mph at 1:05 am. Gust were pretty constant from 10pm to 4am, 25-32mph. Rain total yesterday was 16mm and 11mm since midnight. Calm at the moment. Second phase in an hour or so, has us under an amber warning, forecasts showing 42-50mph gusts. Still falling, 954 hPa, was around 970 at midnight.
  7. As they say, the calm before the storm. Now, Wind, SW 6mph. Some light grey cloud with plenty of blue sky. A few rain showers early morning around 2am to 4am, 2mm, dry now. Early forecasts have us down for the wind to pick up at 10pm tonight, all through the night and day tomorrow until midnight Thursday. 25-36 mph winds, with 43-62mph gusts. Strongest spells from midnight into the early hours.
  8. 41mm of rain yesterday, bringing month total to 210mm. Week from Mon, went 0mm, 17mm, 39mm, 7mm, 21mm, 41mm with some other high days for the month, 13th =20mm, 18th =27mm. Was showers on and off all day. Turned torrential on and off showers from 8pm to midnight, with a handful of lightning and thunder. Dry from midnight with a few lighter showers at 6, 2mm. Dry since and a few breaks in cloud of blue.
  9. Plenty of sunny spells this morning, with some light grey cloudy spells. 19c now, 6-8mph southerly winds.
  10. After that cloudy day yesterday, sun is blazing this morning. We had our first rain that recorded since 21st Sept, at 11pm yesterday and 3am this morning, 0.3mm and 2mm. 17c, WNW wind 10 mph
  11. The sun and traces of blue sky are trying hard to creep through the light grey cloud cover. Dry, just hit 20c here, 12 mph SSE winds.
  12. Been a cracking sunny day here, 22c again in the long sunny spells. Little cloud here, but notice a cloud covering hovering to our West. Wind has picked up here, breezy at times, a good handful of 18mph gusts.
  13. Lovely day yesterday, hit 22c mid afternoon, plenty of long sunny spells all day. Looking like a downgrade for us with the storm. It was looking like mid to late 40s winds through Wednesday for use, but now the highest gust is in their low 30s for Wednesday evening and early hours. Cloudy, dry this morning, 20c. Having to keep up the watering of the vegetables, no rain since last Thursday.
  14. Heavier rain finally arrived for us yesterday, in the evening between 7pm to 9pm. Ended up with 26mm for the day. A little cloud this morning, dry so far.
  15. Not really that windy here today, despite forecasts showing gusts of 40-45mph max. Much like yesterday 18-20 mph, with a handful of 25-28mph gusts. Wind died down now, 14-16 mph, 18-20 mph gusts. Started raining midday, showery on and off, some brief heavy spells, 4.8 mm total so far.
  16. That stronger wind never got here Highest gust was one of 23mph late morning and another couple of 24mph just before 7pm. Wind through the day was around 12 mph, with plenty of 15-18mph gusts Showers through the day bought 8.6mm rain. Temp hovered around 18-19c all day. Temp dropped to a monthly low of 10.7c at 6am Nicer day today, sun is out, 20.3c Spells of light grey cloud passing quickly through this afternoon.
  17. Had quite a downgrade in last few hours for wind speeds. Was for many 40+ mph speeds from now until 8 pm. Now just a few 37-39 for early evening. Light grey cloud, a few light showers from 8am, 3mm. Drizzly now, SSW wind 10mph, 16 mph gusts, 15.5c
  18. The more breezy wind died down about 10pm. Dropped to 12-14 mph with occasional 18-22mph gusts and stayed around that through the night, still much the same this morning. Stayed dry all yesterday apart from the brief light spell in the early hours. Thankfully, the winds were nowhere near as forecast and the garden veg stayed upright. This morning, lovely bright sunhine, plenty of blue sky poking through the cloud. 19.2c.
  19. We had 8.5mm rain yesterday, most around 3-6pm. A few showers 2-4am, 0.6mm. No rain since, been sunny. Wind picked up around 10am 16mph, with gusts 20-25. A handful of 27-30mph gusts so far, a lot less than predicted.
  20. A grey and showery day. 2.5mm so far, but some welcome rain again for the veg garden. 40-50 mph winds predicted here during the day tomorrow. Not wanting that, runner/French beans and sweetcorn won’t enjoy it.
  21. A max of 23.8c yesterday, low of 17.6c at 5am. A welcome bit of rain too, especially for the veg garden, falling around 4am, 2.6mm, taking the monthly total to 4.6mm after that 2mm last Sunday.
