First phase passed through ok here. Noisy wind, thundery showers. Highest gust was 38mph at 1:05 am. Gust were pretty constant from 10pm to 4am, 25-32mph. Rain total yesterday was 16mm and 11mm since midnight. Calm at the moment. Second phase in an hour or so, has us under an amber warning, forecasts showing 42-50mph gusts. Still falling, 954 hPa, was around 970 at midnight.

As they say, the calm before the storm. Now, Wind, SW 6mph. Some light grey cloud with plenty of blue sky. A few rain showers early morning around 2am to 4am, 2mm, dry now. Early forecasts have us down for the wind to pick up at 10pm tonight, all through the night and day tomorrow until midnight Thursday. 25-36 mph winds, with 43-62mph gusts. Strongest spells from midnight into the early hours.

41mm of rain yesterday, bringing month total to 210mm. Week from Mon, went 0mm, 17mm, 39mm, 7mm, 21mm, 41mm with some other high days for the month, 13th =20mm, 18th =27mm. Was showers on and off all day. Turned torrential on and off showers from 8pm to midnight, with a handful of lightning and thunder. Dry from midnight with a few lighter showers at 6, 2mm. Dry since and a few breaks in cloud of blue.

Lovely day yesterday, hit 22c mid afternoon, plenty of long sunny spells all day. Looking like a downgrade for us with the storm. It was looking like mid to late 40s winds through Wednesday for use, but now the highest gust is in their low 30s for Wednesday evening and early hours. Cloudy, dry this morning, 20c. Having to keep up the watering of the vegetables, no rain since last Thursday.

That stronger wind never got here Highest gust was one of 23mph late morning and another couple of 24mph just before 7pm. Wind through the day was around 12 mph, with plenty of 15-18mph gusts Showers through the day bought 8.6mm rain. Temp hovered around 18-19c all day. Temp dropped to a monthly low of 10.7c at 6am Nicer day today, sun is out, 20.3c Spells of light grey cloud passing quickly through this afternoon.

The more breezy wind died down about 10pm. Dropped to 12-14 mph with occasional 18-22mph gusts and stayed around that through the night, still much the same this morning. Stayed dry all yesterday apart from the brief light spell in the early hours. Thankfully, the winds were nowhere near as forecast and the garden veg stayed upright. This morning, lovely bright sunhine, plenty of blue sky poking through the cloud. 19.2c.
