Well shock horror we had a dusting of snow when we woke this morning, and I am very pleased to say it's snowing again now. Not a huge amount but still nice to see the first flakes of the winter falling..

Just had a storm here, lasted around 45 mins. Lots of thunder - not sure about the lightning because I was trying to get some shut-eye while the little one was sleeping!!! The thunder was lovely though.. pops and cracks but not deafeningly house-shaking and booming. Lots of rain as it moved through. Brightening up again now.

John that must be the one we were on the back end of (it was to the front of us, North). We just had rumbles of thunder, didn't see any lightning, and it seems to have cleared north now, although the air still feels fairly heavy.

Storm's now cleared, just. Didn't see any lightning actually, but it just skimmed us and was more to our East (I can't get a good view over that way).. towards Stoke I guess. The sky to the front is amazing red colour with the storm clouds that have just passed us. Very ominous looking. Looks like they're heading up the M6 towards Manchester. Thunder wasn't very loud, more rumblings than anything. Let's hope that's it for the night now! Air is much fresher so here's hoping! The rain was awesome though.. huge droplets, pelting it down for a good ten mins. Now that I can handle, lol!

Argh just started with thunder now here in Market Drayton (Shropshire), looks like it's coming from Telford way... GO AWAY!!!!!!!!! I HATE storms.....

Wow, sounds like some good snowfall up North, enjoy it! and stay safe. Anyway, not much to report here. A dusting of snow but it's hard to tell how much because the wind's blown it around. Maybe a cm? Now snowing, albeit very small flakes. I'm just waiting for that big green blob to hopefully push over the Welsh mountains!

It's just been snowing quite heavily at Manchester Airport, my parents live just alongside. Here we had some grains overnight but nothing more than sleet this morning.

It's just started snowing in Market Drayton, Shropshire, after having to watch snow showers passing either side of us this afternoon and evening! Current temp 0c. Not much at the moment but anything is a bonus!

Well it's been raining heavily during the night in Shropshire but it's finally turned back to snow this last hour. The ground is so wet though, at the moment it's got no chance of sticking.

Snowing since 7:30am here in Shropshire, but the flakes are getting smaller and smaller! Still, a nice covering on roofs and cars. Current temp 0C.
