  1. Well that's see what the GFS says for Friday, better? worse? Soon find out. I think we got a good chance. Still a tad to far out to be more certain. That's hope it stays where is it, good chance of snow then. Wonder if the warmer air will get delayed anymore. All to play for. Wednesday will be good as it will creep into the NAE, NMM etc..timeframe. IF it stays the same of cause.
  2. Rain rain rain, was expecting it to be honest. Just that little bit to warm. All good, now looking forward to Friday, I'm sure lots of changes to come yet. Not sure if that band of snow will make it that far into Hampshire on Friday, hey it might even not make it into the west at all. We she'll see what the next GFS will bring. All good fun. Be good once it gets into the NAE and NMM timeframe. Feeling colder in my flat then it is outside. Maybe it has more chance of snow in my flat.
  3. Wow 40 minutes in the shower haha, I'm sure ill be up watching the radar all night
  4. I'm sure the ECM will come up with another idea. It's been great watching all this unfold. That weak font is really struggling to stay alive now.
  5. Well it always helps when your dew point is below 0c for snow :-)
  6. Thanks for that, I was wondering that the NMM was showing. There was signs that snow flurries will make it. Lots to watch and look out for.
  7. Yeah that UKMO chart is amazing. Love that to verify, long way to go tho.
  8. Well by 150 hours we are losing the battle with the Atlantic. Still more changes to come, more chances of snow later next week. So lots to look forward to. 120 hours looks really good. Shame it's not T-10.
  9. Well by 120 hours on the GFS and looks like a battle is happening, snow pushing in. I'm sure there will be more changes. Sorry no charts as I'm on the ipad. I'm sure someone will post them up. edit..the rain/snow band dies at 132 hours only just reaches Hampshire. Looking good. Cold still intact and -10 air crossing SE.
  10. I thought the first band was ment to be weak and not much falling as it came down.
  11. Well the last few days GFS 06z has not been so good, and the 12z has always been alot better. Maybe it will follow that trend. We shell see.
  12. I was going to say don't forget about WBFL, I wish it was just the upper air temps and thickness levels, need so many things to come together for snow. Also it's during the day. I still think there be some surprises somewhere.
  13. Ahh not to much of a change then. Still a little snow before hand.
  14. That's see what the NAE looks like, it will be out soon. Also looking forward to seeing the 12z GFS UKMO and ECM for later in the week. Is all go go go. Would like them DP's to drop more.
  15. I think we are almost certain for a little bit tonight, I think we would be really unlucky if we didn't.
  16. Lovely warm southsea haha, wonder if you will get a night time dusting.
  17. Them NAE charts don't look good at all, but as with in the past they ain't always right, I have had many surprises in the past. Them DP's do look a tad to high. But it does look like we will get a little snow before hand. As always with it being so close, will it won't it, now casting is the way to go. Not long to wait now. Plus we got the 12z coming out soon see what else next week brings. If sunnysouthcoast gets snow them im sure west of that will, Portsmouth is one hard place for snow to fall. I live in Fareham and its a little tad cooler then portsmouth. North Hampshire I'm sure will do better then us south people.
  18. Well I feel like its cold enough to snow in my flat right now, I won't be staying up to check the 00z GFS ECM UKMO, but I'm going to set my alarm for 6am haha. Next week is looking very interesting. Even if Monday don't go well (i think we will go a little something) we have plenty more chances later in the week if the charts keep upgrading. Never had my fix of thunderstorms last year, so I want my fix of snow :-)
  19. Yeah I keep looking at the NAE, it seems we might get a bit of both, bit of snow and bit of rain, I'm hoping more snow then rain as the rest of the week looks cold and it's always nice keeping the snow on the ground for as long as we can. If we get snow then rain then there's not much chance. I'm hoping its one of them days where we get lucky. I'm sure it will keep moving the snow line until its T-0 and we find out first hand what's falling out the sky.
  20. I always thought Kent did really well with snow and thunderstorms, I remember when I lived there for a year back in 2004/2005ish, soon as I arrived there was thunderstorms pretty much most of the day, then in the winter I remember alot of snow fell on one week kept falling in the mornings. Then I moved back to Hampshire and nothing happens haha. So I'm sure you guys in the south east will do well sometime next week. Looking at the charts it looks pretty cold all week, and snow always pops up somewhere, well most times anyway.
  21. So far just cold rain on the Hampshire coast..right on the coast pretty much, not expecting anything today. Looking forward to Monday though. Keeping an eye on all the radar's I have and the models you never know :-) always harder for me near the coast to get much.
