  1. Just had a sharp hail shower here, lasted all of about 30 seconds.
  2. Oh to live further north, just hoping that the mountains near by can catch a bit of the white stuff over the coming week.
  3. Rain clearing temps a mild 7.6C, pressure 997mb.
  4. Brilliantly sunny here, hardly a cloud in the sky and calm.

  6. Currently cloudy, temps at 8C, pressure 1018mb
  7. Apology accepted,i did get a bit carried away with my reply - sorry! i am all in favour of people/ government to do more to aid rather than destroy the environment as a whole even if for no other reason than it will make for a healthier place to live.
  8. I take offence that you suggest i have a blase attitude to the plant and its environment. My wife and I both hold driving licenses but we only own one car, we use the train if we wish to go shopping in Cardiff and where ever possible we will walk short journeys. We recycle as much as possible and when our wheelie bin goes out each week it is barely half full, dispite having a two year old and the rubbish they generate. I love the snow and cold and would be highly dissapointed if my daughter missed out on sledging and the like, you have deliberately twisted the point that the climate is not static, if it was we would not have had ice ages or periods of greater warmth than we have now.
  9. I have to agree with Essans post, the current warm are partly synoptics and partially from global warming - how much humans have caused is still up for debate. Ignoring the carbon issue, undoubtably the build environment warms the surrounding area, just see how much warmer city centres are to the countryside at night and i think that is under played as a cause - much harder to tell people cities are the problem and everyone should live in animal hide tents i also think there are other factors at work which science has yet to consider or maybe even discover, however the climate is not static and has always changed and will continue to do so whether it suits us or not.
  10. 7.3C with rising pressure - more inportantly though the sun is out!
  11. Balmy 12.1C light rain although wind has dropped at the moment. pressure steady at 996mb.
  12. Just seems to be showers with out the sun down here,
  13. Strong gusty wind, occassional rain showers, 11.3C - the mild continues.
  14. KellyF.jpg for me, although there are several really outstanding ones in there.
  15. But is it our problem? - the UK can only clean up its act as it stands today and encourage other nations to do the same.
  16. More rain again today, temps at 7.7C pressure 991mb
  17. Another wet day and another mild one, currently at 9.3C
  18. With the huge amount of warmth around in the northern hemisphere I am going to plump for 11.1C, it may be a colder start to spring but i think summer and autumn are again going to be well above average. that prediction should see us now have one of the coolest years on record
  19. Very wet, temp at 9.1C. pressure 1005mb
  20. Under clearing skies the temp has now dipped to 7.7C.
  21. A mild 10.6C, drizzle on and off, miserable sums it up!
  22. temps at 8.9C now after a largely sunny afternoon. pressure 1012mb.
  23. Sadly papers want headline grabbing news and 'Mild mush' continues isnt going to grab anyone by the b*lls. One day his guesses will come up trumps though so lets just hope its this one
  24. Ocassional rain, temp 10.1C pressure 1015mb
