  1. I have got sausages, crisps and wine to add to the BBQ collection!! Currently in Norfolk staying at my parents in law before heading to Pauls tomorrow. Really sorry to hear that Pat isn't coming as it would have been lovely to see him again - get well soon Pat I'm on leave on Monday so bacon sarnies will be appreciated before tackling the M25/M1 to head back 'oop north' See you all tomorrow Tammy
  2. Hi all, will bring some burgers and wine with me - really looking forward to seeing/meeting you all on Sunday Tammy
  3. Morning all  Its 14c here with the humidity at 92%. Overnight we have had heavy rain (its filled our water butt). This morning we have low cloud and it is very grey - I haven't seen the sky for the best part of two days as we seem to be sat in a very wet low cloud! No sun yesterday but fingers crossed for today. Can I ask - will this grey, damp weather lift over the next few days or is this the 'pay off' for the hot humid weather that is forecast? NoT moaning as I know that you get what you get with weather - but just interested! AS
  4. Hi all, I would also like to put my two penneth in aswell!! Just to repeat what everyone else has said - I had the most amazing two weeks storm chasing made a thousand times better by being with the team that were out there with me. I got to see America and meet the most friendly people I have ever met. I will never forget the feeling of seeing my first supercell and watching the most amazing lightening show I have ever seen Paul S made sure that he put the extra effort in so we could be in the right place at the right time to get to see supercells even if it meant driving hundreds of miles to get there. Tom's jokes and lovely humour kept me smiling for two weeks and Johns laugh is the most infectious laugh I have ever heard!! Finally Ian's calm outlook to life should be bottled and sold - I have never meat a more chilled out person! and Pat and Dannys enthusiasm for storms was infectious. The live streaming was amazing and enabled friends and family to watch us and see what we were up to and the videos and pictures have been fantastic from all the Chase Teams. So thank you again to Paul S, Tom, John, Ian and Paul M for the trip of a lifetime and of course to Pat and Danny for being great guests with me!! Tammy aka Paul S Personal Secretary
  5. Yippee a BBQ!! Count me in gentlemen  I didn't realise that this thread was going on - thank you John for pointing me in the right direction. So that's a definet for me!! I'll see if the other half is working that week-end to see if he wants to come too! Looking forward to seeing you all so much Tammy
  6. Pat, thanks so much for posting the pics and videos - it is bringing back some fantastic memories Tammy

  8. I am actually at a loss for words B) No amount of McDonalds are going to be enough to fill you up now!! Just wish I had been there to see it!! Mr Cameron you are indeed a legend - now go find us some nice supercells B) Tammy
  9. Ian Cameron - you are a true super star!! I would have loved to have been there to see this amazing challenge accomplished - looking forward to seeing the video!!! Tammy
  10. mmmmm steak!! Have a great night at the Big Texan, I can highly recomend the Chocolate Raspberry cocktail Good Luck to Ian and anyone else who is taking on the 72oz challenge - hopefully you won't need to use the bucket at the end of the table!! Tammy
  11. Brilliant!! I do miss Pats enthusiam!! Thanks for all the lovely replies - it is very odd watching the chase from a computer rather than being there Good to hear the Tour 2 got a supercell on their first day though! Tammy
  12. Thank you Paul Well, here I am at the end of my Tour, tomorrow we head to DFW so I can catch my flight back to the UK  To say that I am going to miss everyone is an understatement. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and when I won the competition with NetWeather last year I was so excited I had to be brought down from the ceiling!! I didn't really know what to expect from storm chasing but these past 2 weeks has just been amazing and something I will never forget. However the main reason I have had such a great time is because of the team who have been out here with me, So I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Paul, Tom, John, Ian, Pat and Danny for answering my daft questions, making me laugh and making me part of the group - you're all the best and I am going to miss you all  I have seen some amazing storms, lightening, supercells and tornadoes. I have also been lucky enough to see America and meet some of the most kind and friendly people I have ever met. This is my first trip to America and I will definetley be coming back! Highlights for me was - Supercell at Paduca, the fantastic lightening show at Childress, Supercell at Breckenridge, Pat doing the 72oz steak challenge, Cow Camp but everything else was very high on the scale too! I have seen skies that have made my jaw drop and watching a supercell form from nothing is something I will never forget. All in all it has been phenomenal!! If you have ever thought about coming storm chasing, all I can say is you will have so much fun and see mother nature at her best. Also if you are female and have always wanted to go storm chasing but were worried about coming out with a bunch of blokes I would say don't let that put you off. They will absolutely look after you, keep you safe and make you part of the group. I am now officially a storm chaser and am addicted to storms:) I will definetly be back out here with the team in the future - I probably should check with my husband first though!! I hope that you have enjoyed reading/watching about Tour 1 as much as I have enjoyed being part of it. Thank you again to NetWeather for giving me this opportunity. Good Luck to everyone on Tour 2 and Tour 3 - I hope you get to loads of storms and tornadoes. Off to pack my bag now! Tammy
  13. Just a quick update from Paul S We are actually now not going to burn 500 Miles going up to Greensburg and back down again, so are heading to Childress to put ourselves into position for the Tornado Thread For Tuesday. That way we can relax and Paul can look over the Models in readiness for Tomorrow. Tammy
  14. You might have noticed that John (me, hehe) was following someone who looked shocked around with a camera. It might be that guy :o
  15. On our way to Amarillo and one of the team has bravely decided to do the 72oz challenge :o Can you guess who it is? There is a live web cam for the Big Texan if you want to watch!! As we are on the move we can't search for their website as our internet access is so slow!!! Tammy
  16. Hi all, As Paul said, we have had the mother of all chases today. As a beginner storm chaser I am totally blown away by what I have seen/experience today, to be literally running away from a tornado is something I will never forget top notch driving from both driers Also I had the first hand experience of hearing CG lightening hit the ground by my side of the car door as we were driving through the storm - it went pop right by the side of me. Then finally was treated to the most amazing lightening show I have ever seen near Childress, with Anvil Crawlers, CC lightening and CG lightening all going off at once. Today was probably the most heart stopping and amazing ever - and its only day 3!! The best thing about today is that I got to see this storm develop from a single cloud in the sky into the monster that it became over 9hours - and its still going!! Off to bed now as its nearly midnight - I suspect I will be dreaming about today. Tammy
  17. Hi, we're sat in a car park of a hotel in Brownfield, Texas where apparently Reed Timmer and the Discovery Channel are staying tonight - unfortunately no room for us as we're not that important!! Just waiting in the area until the storm starts! Tammy
  18. Hi all, Just to keep you up to date. We're not currently chasing but we will be on our way shortly. If you want to follow us we will be going from Decatur onto Highway 380 to Aspermont then Highway 83 to Childress. There is a possibility of supercells forming in this area so we will be in chasing distance if this is the case. We're planning to stay in Childress overnight. Bye for now Tammy
  19. Thanks for all the good luck wishes for Tour 1 - I really can't believe that I am actually going!! I am now just down the road from Heathrow ready for the flight tomorrow. I never been so scared/excited in my life (not even on my wedding day!!) Hope everyone travelling today has a good journey and I'll see you tomorrow - eeeeek  Tammy
  20. This looks bloomin fantastic  What a great way to start a storm chase!! Can't wait to get going! Packing - done, Husband organised - done, work finished - nearly done! Just need to get to Heathrow and get on the plane - see you all there  Tammy
  21. Morning all Can't believe its only 4 days away until we get going!! I won't be with you at the Sheraton the night before as I am staying with my family who live near Heathrow but will see you at check-in or in departures. Can one of you wear a bright coloured top so I can spot you!! Looks like we might be in for a bumpy landing at Dallas, but looking forward to (hopefully) hitting the ground running See you all at Heathrow and looking forward to finally putting faces to names. Have a good night at the Sheraton! Tammy
  22. Thanks Paul for doing this. Its a great way to build up to our departure in a weeks time. It certainly looks like it could be a promising start to our chase - I wonder if we might end up landing in a middle of a storm - it could be interesting if we do! AS
  23. Hi all, can't belive that I am off in 8 days - still got to get through a busy week at work though before I get on the plane Its look like it going to be busy out there this year and I can't wait to get going!!
  24. Hi Dogs, I'll look out for you on the plane - I'll be the one attempting to sleep up right which I can never do!! I understand that Mr Sherman is sat in front of me and I have been told to "tweek his ears and kick his seat" by someone in the Netweather office!! Obviously I am a nice person and would never do that - and don't want to run the risk of being abandoned somewhere remote in Texas I am also heading for the shops this week-end as I need some more memory cards for camera. I think that I have enough clothes and am covered for all eventualities!! See you on the plane Tammy
