To claim that the markets are nothing is so far out. The markets represent the monetary system, which underpins the banking system which underpins the economy and which is then represented in people's voting patterns.
What do you think your pension is invested in? Tulip bulbs?

2. Regarding Behavioural Science, Professor NN Taleb (@nntaleb) has again criticised, see tweet dated 15 March 2020 1.28pm.

The potential ban of UK flights by President Trump and his team of advisers is also beginning to concentrate minds.
Banning flights is a good example of reducing fat tail risk (see @nntaleb tweet 11/03/2020 6.20pm).

For P17 to verify, we need a conveyor belt of LPs to cross into Scandinavia/W Russia, a very cold pool to develop and then the HP to develop NW and advect the very cold pool SW to us.

Solar Cycle 25 should begin in 2020.
Variations of temp and precipitation against the 30 year average.
Jet stream to be generally wavy, sometimes locked-in and occasionally very meridional.
January - Milder and drier particularly in S. At least one Northerly toppler.
February - Colder with widespread snow and ice days.
March - Variable with first spanish plume.
April - Wetter.
May - Warmer. Drier in SE.
June - Warmer and drier with occasional thunderstorms.
July - Warmer and wetter. Another spanish plume - very hot and thunderstorms.
August - Wetter, cooler.
September/October - Wetter, milder and windier. First northerly toppler in late Oct with snow on Scottish mountains.
November - Cooler. First snow on Northern Hills. NW-SE jet
December - Cooler. Hill snow (NW-SE jet) becoming drier towards New Year. First dusting in London and melts before midday!

Third successive night of rain. Saturday - very heavy, Sunday - hail and tonight - moderate.

The 22:00 MetOffce radar shows that this bunch of showers are starting to organise themselves into a much larger area of snowfall. Should be an interesting night

Another snow shower. Grass almost covered now.

Had a light snow shower at midday.
Several have been close to the north and south.
Looking forward to remainder of the day and into tommorow. Taken wellies from the garden shed into the porch in case of an overnight dumping.

That year I was recovering from chickenpox.
The month began with a memorable plume with intense thunderstorms moving northwards. The rest of the summer was poor.
