Mewl..The BBC forecast is now showing rain for my area (Between Bridegnd & Cardiff) - I could cry

Hi Magpie - I'm near Llanharan (about 80m ASL) I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for a big snow event - my kids who are 3 & 6 have never seen a big snowfall like we did in the late 70's early 80's Whats your views on my area?

I'm still a bit uncertain about South Wales (between Cardiff & Bridgend) the BBC shows only rain until over the Beacons, Sky showed all snow & no rain - Metcheck shows snow then rain Does anyone have an idea on the most likely outcome? I also have 2 very excited children plus a hubby that will need to be in work by 5.30am Thursday morning....

Is it still looking good for South Wales (Nr Cardiff) or is it all going to happen further North than originally thought? And...if it does - is it likely it will have turned to rain by morning?

Good Morning!! Whats the latest? Did the charts come up with the goods overnight? Are we still looking as though we'll have a snow event here in South Wales? Will it turn to rain on the back edge or is there a chance that the conditions will be right to completely pass us as snow and leave it dry afterwards for us to actually enjoy it!

I'm only 2 miles north of it so here's hoping too!

Hi - whats the latest on the snow? Are things a bit more certain now? I don't really understand the models but enjoy reading about you all trying to work them out! Whats the latest? I see the Met office has issued a weather warning.........

My brother is meant to be taking a train up to Edinburgh from South Wales on Friday for the weekend!! Its not looking good for him eh? :blink:

Sky News' weather forecast last night was also all rain - and temps of 12oC on Friday - Very disappointed

Apologies in advance - i'm sure your going to get sick of all the people asking ' will it snow in....' but how is South East Wales looking? I'm sorry to be on a downer but snowfall is a pain in the proverbial for me as the school closes if we get an inch, plus my employer has come up with a 'weather policy' - if it snows and we can't get to work we have to take the time out of our annual leave - with 2 small kids I have to take up nearly all my hols when they're ill etc so losing days through snow fall is a bitter sweet feeling! Still....its an excuse to have the day off playing in the snow with the children....it'll be worth it!!
