  1. Very brief shower, sleety/snow, quite different in quality to what we've had over the last 2 days.
  2. Approx 70 miles south of Newcastle - neither snowing nor raining but temp fallen to 3.6 from 4.1C, DP -1.2, pressure rising.
  3. Not sure where to put this one - we've just had a crack of thunder in between the snow showers!
  4. About 8-10cm down already, snowing heavily and has been for about an hour.
  5. Very light snow on the wind, extensive cloud to the east.
  6. Very short sleet shower just now - more action than we've had all winter.
  7. A couple of short, sharp showers of white stuff between 6.30am - 7am - but wasn't going to get up to see whether it was hail or snow.....soon turned to rain, whatever it was.
  8. Sleety shower in Tees Valley, 12.45(ish). Pretty uninspiring
  9. Not fair, is it? All the right conditions but temps too high. 8C just dropped to 6C here. perhaps tonight.....
  10. We have black skies, howling gusts of a northly wind, a rainbow and .... rain
  11. Looking possible - sky very dark, intermittent spits of snow at the moment.
  12. Snow showers - had given up all hope for today!
  13. We had another small snow shower about an hour ago - just bits and pieces coming in from the sea but I wasn't expecting anything tonight so this has cheered me up. Skywatcher Tees Valley
  14. 3.15pm shower (sleet-snow-sleet), lasted about 10 mins 4.20pm shower (sleet). Looking good here in the NE.
  15. Indeed. Apart from the temps it's been like high summer here today. Not a cloud in sight, despite Tyne Tees weather promising scattered wintry showers throughout the area. Reading the other posts I feel I'm in a different country - the only wind up here is coming from shoppers rushing through shopping malls for the sales and the bright sunshine is a major traffic hazard. Would someone please remind the snow clouds that the UK has a region known as the north east and they are very welcome here.
  16. Indeed, snow south of Middlesbrough/Stockton - most of it fell at around 4am and after. Maybe 2 inches worth out here in the country.
  17. Several short showers here SW of Middlesbrough/Stockon, one heavy, presumably running up Tees Valley. Settled snow blowing about in strong wind. No way of measuring temp but clear skies inbetween showers keeping temps low, would estimate below 0.
