Went out for a walk around this morning only thing I saw was a bin on its side. Still quite blowy here but dry .
Great day for drying the washing down here, one light passing shower, but still some good breeze to air things. I'm glad the wind has dropped as it's recycle collection day tomorrow and my bin is full and I'm hoping the lid will stay put because if it doesn't the contents will be off down the street. As for the bin its so full of old cd's and items, it is so heavy it won't go anywhere even in 60mph gusts

Morning All, I'm sure ISHA tried her worst last night, but I didn't hear it, so it was down to a reccy of the estate this morning.
Dustbins
Flower pots
Fence Panels (All)
Tiles
Garden Furniture
Bird Table
Greenhouse
Trampoline.........Hang on I don't own a trampoline, where the heck did that come from?
Stats wise, the overnight low 7.9°C at: 08:26 has risen to 9.7°C,RH 83% and a fresh breeze in from the SW veering W.
From Above some potent showers around
On Golden sands

Sideways rain and flexing fence panels, seems the order of the night at the moment. Took the dogs to the back door for their last natural break before bed, and they would not go out, can’t say I blame them as it’s fairly rough out there at the moment.

How long can stuff stay in the fridge and freezer without electricity?
I'd say keep checking until the old man's nose goes white, then I think he'll be cold enough.

Quietly removes self from the Storm Isha thread.... my goodness there's some right ones on there isn't there?
They've moved from the MOD thread as nothing is happening over there, in fact there's a general "Winter is over" aroma beginning to waft out of there today

Forecast wind speeds have dropped for here. It was showing low 60's yesterday, now down to mid 50's.
Gust or average as Hurst Castle is already reporting gusts of 57.2mph?

Just checked windy.com and yes the wind speed down there is 35 knots and stronger along further along the south coast .
Stronger on the north coasts of Somerset and the Irish Sea is very strong at 60 knots .
Maybe the front is coming in faster than we thought .
No, storm ISHA is still developing way out in the Atlantic at the moment. What you will be / are experiencing is this cold front coming in overnight, as has been forecasted. Looking at the chart, it suggests the wind strength dropping back once the cold front moves through.
ISHA is still well out, as can be seen on the fax chart:
And developing nicely on the global view:
Stepping through the fax chart you can see the progression into later tomorrow for ISHA:
Midday Sunday
Midnight Sunday
THEN, the next inbound deepening low (not expected to be as deep as ISHA) gets ready to have a go after ISHA:
Midday Monday
Midnight Monday to Tuesday
Tuesday Midday

Morning All, a grey start to the day heralding more akin to January weather later in the weekend and through the week, of course I am talking winds and rain. I think the cold weather in the US will have a lot to answer for by the end of this week, through the increased speed of the jet stream. Anyway, it is what it is, the overnight low a mild 0.3°C at: 00:00, currently 6.1°C, RH76% with a fresh breeze in from the SW.
From Above
On Golden sands, already a fair amount of white water

Nooo way! For the second day in a row on way home at completely different times but almost the identical place on the road I’ve just seen another bright green Meteot falling into the western skies.
What are the chances.
So you saw the meteorite on the 17th Jan, well that's today's date. (Groundhog rules)
