    5 minute period then, probably the biggest flakes ive ever seen, monstrous. Starting to stick on roads, coming down thick and fast.

    Good few cm's here, roads clear though, and is thawing slightly. Looking good for another 5-10cm at least tonight i would think. Then, after this weekend, please weather gods give us some spring sunshine and warmth. Although looking at the models, no real end in sight to the cold conditions.

    Good couple of cm's on all surfaces here now, falling at a steady rate, will set alarm for 4am an see how things are looking then.

    Although i think this cold weather this far into spring is becoming quite tedious, this does have the potential to be quite a memorable snow event, so i'm back to being a snow freak/lampost observer for one more night.

    Not a good outlook ATM for those wanting warm settled spring like conditions, becoming gradually less cold throughout the week, but remaining cool and unsettled thoroughout, into the weekend and next week.

    18Z has temperatures recovering faster then previous run does it not? 7-8C for central areas by Thursday afternoon, compared to the 2's and 3's of the 12z.

    Cant say i'm looking forward to a return to cold weather at all tbh, although i wouldn't mind a sunshine with heavy snow showers type of set up.

    Turning miler through the weekend, and especially into next week with temps into the low teens possible, which would feel very pleasant in sunny spells.

    Another cold dull cloudy day of nothingness today, got to be the worst type of winter weather this. Hints of some possibly milder weather towards early-mid march, hoping for another march period of sunny skies and warmth like late march last year.

    11cm level snow here this morning, another decent snow event compared to recent years.

    Don't know about anyone else, but spring/summer cant come quick enough for me. Love snow, but almost mid feb now, and once into March it gets ever more difficult for good long lying falls of snow, tbh happy with the 20cm + event from a few weeks ago anyway. Bring on the Heat, storms, BBQ's and motorcycle riding... or more likely Rain, floods, soggy umbrellas, and wellies.
