There has been a constant small area of precipitation over the Castleford area since about 10am. It's source appears to be the power station at Ferrybridge, can anyone in that area confirm if this is producing light snow or not?
I live in Haworth and woke up to a great covering this morning, easily 15 cms on the car and street (the drifts in surrounding areas were easily 30cms or more). Still managed the daily commute to Headingley though and it only to 1/2 hour extra (via Bradford). An impressive amount in and around Headingley though bearing in mind it's low altitude and close proximity to Leeds Centre. Looking forward to further flurries on and off today and a cold night to come.
Yes, I can confirm it is stuck at 22.25 for me as well, just very annoying!! Light - moderate snow here in Haworth, all surfaces covered. Expecting a good fall overnight with the altitude and being on the eastern edge of the pennines.
