I thought it looked ok for us in the west around midnight into tomorrow going by the 06z run. 12z is due out around now so will be interesting to see what that is suggesting! Definetly midweek is the time for us. We need to hope for that North Easterly as well to develop then we will get absolutely battered!

What a load of rubbish that statement is! There is no "facts" to prove that Global Warming is there. I think you seem to have been naiively drawn in by the Governments excuse for raising taxes. The only real problem we have are our diminishing natural resources. To say that Global Warming is there for a fact is just as you say "having a blinkered view".

Hi OP, There may be some evidence of warming however it is as I have said before and noggin said in this thread; there are cycles of weather patterns. There will be a return to "old" winters as some may call it and like I said last year I think this year is the beginning of a new cycle. Whether this is actually true or not will be proven soon enough :lol:

That's a very valid point mate. I just don't want to comment on it because literally anything could happen! I agree there is a trend but that hasn't made the models any easier to predict in the past and I doubt it will this time either!

I'm actually surprused that Aviemore doesn't have more than that! I think the criteria for snow falling is for anything from a single flake of snow upwards. I may be wrong though!

Yep snowing here after a couple of hours of rain/sleet. Hopefully it will last long enough to lie. Does anyone know how long this is supposed to last and if it is to intensify or fizzle out? Sorry haven't had time to look

I'm slightly to the west of Glasgow and it simply hasn't stopped raining for about 24 hours now. Haven't been out today to see if there is any sort of flooding but no doubt there will be especially considering there is still a good deal more rain to come yet.

Nice to see a change in the recent trand of a above average CET's. Hopefully we will see a cooling trend which I mentioned previously a few months ago.
