Wow this is marginal, rain in Weston, heavy snow in Cardiff. Hope it turns to snow for you guys. Shouldn't be too long before it gets here.

MetO have snow for the West Country between 6pm Tuesday (tonight) until Midday Wednesday. This was updated an hour ago. To be taken with a pinch of salt but it's a good sign.

Hey Kumquat, Am I right in saying that this band of PPN approaching from the SW is supposed to stall and then pivot? Before heading south again? It seems that the precip is a little more NE than expected, putting us in a very good position I would have thought?

I'm going to wait for the next couple of frames before deciding whether to go to bed or not. Starting to look promising

Yeah I've been wandering this aswell. Our best chance of seeing decent prolonged snowfall was from the gradual pivot like you mentioned, but now it seems anything can happen. Think I preferred Friday when we knew what we were getting lol.

I'm pretty sure the showery ppn we're seeing now is not the main event. This is the first band, but it's just moving much faster than expected (and more intense?) But I'm not sure, maybe somebody else can enlighten us what the hell is going on lol
