Been snowing here for a few hours now, just starting to settle..
Radar looking very good for this afternoon...
Afternoon Kelster!
Glad to see you've got some of the white stuff. We have a snow-fest here!
-
Now snowing lightly in Lichfield. I think the frontal snow has just reached us. Yayyyyyy!
-
Just starting to get light snow. Wonder if this is the band?
Hi PG
Well if it's just started to snow where you are then we should be getting it in a few minutes time
It has snowed here on and off for most of the day, the last heavy shower was around 30 minutes ago, but now awaiting the frontal snow with interest! We have around 7cm of lying snow with no thaw. Fantastic start to Feb!

Just stopped snowing in Lichfield after nearly an hour of continuous moderate/heavy snow. Snow depth now 7cm in our back garden. This event is turning out to be the best snowfall here since feb 8th/9th 2007. To be honest I wasn't expecting to see so much convective shower activity and we still have the band of snow expected later today. In fact I would say that the Midlands could get a real pasting throughout this week if the models are right.
Enjoy the moment!!

A coolish 3.5c for me please!
-
Amazing scenes! Thanks for posting that footage. I remember it well, I was 17 at the time and the school choir's Transit van got stuck in a snow drift on the way back from a concert!
Those were the days when we had proper winters.........Mind you I'm looking out of the window with heavy snow falling atm..... Ha, ha!
-
A reasonably mild 5.2c for me please!
-
A rather chilly 4.6c for me please!
-
Much as I'd like to see a flaming July I just can't see anything in the models to suggest this. So I'm going for a distinctly below average 15.4c please. Only the last week will give us any settled weather (more hopecasting because I'm on holiday that week!).
-
Well after my useless May punt.................Here's another (useless punt!) for June...........I'll go for a distinctly average 14.3c please!
-
A slightly cooler than average April so I'll go for 7.8c please!
-
Late again! Never mind, I'll go for 6.4c please.
-
An average 4.4c for me please!
-
Temp 0c. Thick fog with hoar frost covering most surfaces. Very picturesque. CET to plummet today methinks.
-
Oops! Late again......
I reckon it's gonna be 6.5c. A very mild first half followed by an average second half.
-
Snowing heavily in Lichfield, Staffs........Settling on cars, grass and roofs but not on roads as yet. Considering it's only Nov 18th not a bad start! Started sleeting here at 11.00am but only turned to snow about an hour ago. Nice to see everything so white!
-
11.5c for me please!
Have a feeling that it could be a mild month, quite dry till mid-month that wet and windy second half (but still mild).

Just got back from holiday from the Costa Blanca (unusually cool and unsettled incidentally) so apologies for missing the deadline (and yes I know there will be penalties!) but I'm going to plump for 14.0c. A warmish first half followed by an average to cool second half.
-
I'll have 17.2c please.........An unsettled start but warming up nicely throughout the month.....
-
.......And a 14.7c for me please........

I'll punt for 12.3c.
First half of the month cooler and unsettled with a northwesterly flow, second half more settled and warm.

Good luck to all of you. I hope it's the experience of a lifetime and that 2007 will prove to be a mammoth year for storms. Just don't forget the reports and the pics!
-
An above average 8.9C for me please. Some warm sunshine but a few brief cooler Northerly incursions.
-
Had 4 snow showers today, pretty heavy resulting in temporary lying snow. Just had another shower 20 mins ago with a little lying. Still snowing lightly. Temp 1c.

That light snow has now become moderate Looks like I'll soon be battling my way on the school run. Wifey could have an interesting drive home this evening. Conditions are worse now than this morning and it took her 2.5 hours to get from here to her work in Walsall (about 8 miles)!
