Yeah I noticed that. Also seem to have drawn back a little on Friday night. Monday night is now teasing us up here for another storm but still a long way off as yet and as we can see things are changing rapidly.

Wait for it to shift further north

Whats going on with our weather? I live in the Western Isles of Scotland and this has been the worst "summer" since I have lived here. Some people are saying its worst summer since the 1800s.
are there any signs of this current pattern changing? I know the SST out in the Atlantic have been well below normal. Computer models aren't handing it at all well. We are getting forecasts of sunshine and just being stuck under endless grey skies. 2 Days in a row now and all 3 XC weather, Met office and Netweather have gotten our forecast totally wrong.
Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

We got nailed in Bournemouth what a view from my hotel

I do agree though that the Met Office can sometimes be frustratingly slow in updating real-time situations.
Agreed we. Same with the wind storm we got in January

I'm down in Bournemouth now this is music to my earsInteresting and brief comment to chuck into the mix...
Early this morning Meto forecast of precip for my area was 5%. Up to 40% chance of precip now.
This suggests a change in the Meto and I think the core area to be will between Eastbourne and Bournemouth if you're on the South Coast. Then move northwards. Could be an interesting an active night.
Watch AND listen carefully to the forecasts. They're not saying what some people think!

all seems to be fine now, no problems.
However I did notice a funny glitch the other day. The 48 hr in depth had rain forecast all day then the 16 day extra had no rain forecast at all for the same day.

Jo you reckon 90 here? We tend to add 10 mph on to what everyone says
