  1. Going by the forecast and models tonight, it is starting to look as though this winter is petering out from a cauld and snaw pov. Hope this is wrong, but if it's going to go this way, would rather it just did so properly and got onto the warmer days asap, rather than this endless snoozefest. Dull, mild, keech.

  2. We had a load more 'naw' overnight. Not even a frost: minimum of 0.5C. Now up to 3.4C and glorious in the sunshine. May have to go on a snawhunt...

No way is winter over yet btw:

If Candlemas Day be dry and fair,

The half o the winter's to come and mair.

If Candlemas Day be wet and foul,

The half o the winter's gone at yule.

  3. Not quite as cauld last night - a mere -8.5C overnight. Another stoater of a winter's day: everything frozen solid, place is white with rime and snaw remnants and the sun is splitting the skies again. Currently up to -7C. Potential for the 5th ice day of the winter today. Also looking good to spy the merry dancers this weekend.

  4. Baltic in Glasvegas, too. There appeared to be some very light 'snaw' flakes or some other wintry precipitation earlier. Clearish sky above but also foggyish, too. Wondered if it was diamond dust, but don't think so on this occasion. Have only seen that once before: coincidentally, in Glasvegas back in Dec 2009. Cracking winter's day.

  5. Chillier overnight with a low of -5.4C. Another snaw flurry, too. Could just about count the individual flakes again. We've missed out during this current spell - so far - but it ain't over yet. A braw and bricht winter's morn. Great to see so many snaw snaps from fellow kilters.

  6. A flurry overnight for us. Could just about count the individual snawflakes. Everything frozen, so any further white stuff should stick readily. Was -0.4C with a few flakes on the go around half 8. Heading down to Glasvegas. Progressively snawier from Crieff through Muthill and over the moor to Braco. Dunblane and Stirling appear to have done well, too. Am reckoning the drive hame could be a wee bitty skitey later on.
