Still looking great for Suffolk, Essex, Kent and Sussex tomorrow, upto 8" in places. Still have the odd light shower passing through here although im not expecting much tonight.
Showers developing off the coast of Lowestoft, hopefully if they carry on their track they should hit the Coastline here! That precip over Ipswich should also hit us soon.
Morning, -6c here currently, have around 6" of powder snow, looks great outside. Later this afternoon into this evening looks good for costal Suffolk, Essex and Kent, with showers piling in off the N.Sea
Skies clearing here after snowing for much of the day. Had some heavy falls this morning. Currently have around 3-4" Of lying snow with more out towards Great Bentley/Clacton way ( 6"). Hopefully tomorrow's snow will add a few more cm's here.
Kold, that band of snow is right over me. Some very heavy snow in there indeed! Have around 2-3 inches of lying snow now in the space of around 2 hours!.
Band of snow currently stretching from Colchester-Chelmsford area is showing signs of intensifying. I'd expect a few inches in these areas come late morning.
Monring all, currently have some very heavy snow here which arrived in the last hour! Have around 2 cms on the ground. Snow is very powdery in nature. Looking forward to this afternoon
Afternoon all, Looks great for this evening. I have a feeling that the low will shift east a little bit more with our region coming into play so to speak. Still, London, Essex and Kent looks to do well out of this. I'd hazard a guess at anywhere from 2-6 inches of snowfall across the southeast with the way things are currently looking however like Iv'e said, if the low shifts further east then we could be looking at totals nearer the 30cm mark.
Very cold here last night, low down to around -5 and thick white frost coating all surfaces. Snow potential still looks good from Tues evening onwards. By Thursday, I'd expect a large part of the East to have around 5-10 cms of lying snow, possibly more in the favoured locations. The weekend blizzard still isn't nailed on yet and there is plenty of time for things to change, but don't be surprised if that low moves towards us again...
I really wouldn't worry too much at this stage! Nothing is set in stone yet for Friday/Saturday and like others have said, it's just ONE run.. dosen't mean its going to happen!. Im sure there will be some surprises .....................
