    Just started snowing here in Colchester. Very fine flakes though. I am eagerly awaiting next weeks, looks very interesting Weds Onwards. I would suspect that the Norfolk, Suffolk and Esseex coastlines will take a battering. I'd expect some thundersnow thrown in too with those low uppers over the N.Sea

    Morning, have a decent dusting of snow here in Colchester. Very heavy snow showers last night from 00:00-03:00. Very ice out too

    Car thermometer read -6c this morning, thick fog overnight has frozen on all surfaces and trees making it look like we have had a dusting of snow! Very pretty indeed!. There is still quite abit of snow lying around here too, should last till xmas hopefully

    Looks like the eastern/northen end of the front is intensifying , central/north east essex should get a few cm's out of this

    Evening all. We still have about 2-3 inches of lying snow here in Colchester and about 4-5 out in the fields. There have been some light snow showers this evening, hoping for a few cm's overnight!

    Just driven through a huge storm just to the north of colchester. As the storm approached colchester there were several funnel clouds however i am kicking myself as i did not bring my camera out with me. Friends have confirmed that houses on their street were hit by lightning!

    Clear sunny morning and very icy, The river has burst it's banks so the fields are all flooded and are iced over! Very dangerous out there this morning!

    Morning all Had a very heavy spell of snow this morning between 3:30am -4:30 am. Did not settle though due to the ground being saturated. Rivers are very high in the area!!

    Very strange, I think Colchester will do very well out of this set up, come tomorrow there could be some amazing scenes around here mark my word!

    Whereabouts exactly are you because here actually in Colchester not far from town there is around an inch of powdery snow

    I must say i am rather impressed with what we have here snow wise. Pure powder snow about 1" here now in Colchester. It has stopped snowing but i suspect there will be plenty more showers in the coming few hours!!
