TS just passed thru, some nice lightning and rolling thunder with moderate rain.

One cell has passed by here, about 3 miles I guess, some wonderful lightning, CC, CG big rolling thunder,rained very hard briefly. Can see more lightning to my SW

Hi folks,
Well almost the same as last year, weather was yuk for the seafront Southend airshow, I went to the airport and my usual spot in a field near the runway
on Sunday, skies were not too cloudy at first but it was not long before the cloud base lowered down the almost 300 feet
this RAF Tucano T1 'ZF210' took off, climbed straight ahead to 300 feet and aborted its display, flew downwind and landed.Camera Canon 10D DSLR Sigma 28-300 lens.

New cells seem to be going up around this mass - as I've just had two close lightning stikes (within a mile or two). Seems to still be developing...could be quite interesting....

Area coasting in down East Sussex/Kent has perked up again now.

There was some lightning in the Channel when I went out and had a look...sadly it all stayed off the coast. I've had no lightning on thunder now since my last post...if those merge properly it could form a small slow moving MCS running up the Dover Strait or become a 'Kent clipper'
Thanks CB, sometimes I can see lightning flashing away to my South when the sky is reasonable clear here ( Southend ) there is some puffy cloud here which
doesnt seem to be moving at all.

Will a low form over Belguim-ish way and move NW, there doesnt seem much on Sat pics at this time.

Storm passing overhead and another out to the east, lightning mostly CC but a few CG out to my east as well, not much rain falling here ( Leigh) strike alert is going nuts..

huge flash a minute ago, and the rumble shook the house. I could feel it in my feet
Looking at the radar/track of this, I would have thought the best is yet to come for your area....?
