  1. From what i see on the 00z fax is what i have seen for the last 3 or 4 days, the track of the low arriving over Pembrokeshire where they have shown it on the TV, some models have shown it in Cardigan bay to the North, i admit the fax shows it maybe 10 miles to my South but from 4 days out that is a good call, now how deep the pressure will go or the highest wind speeds/gusts is another matter......
  2. and in 20mins its nearly flat calm, conifers just swaying ....but the rain is very heavy, not good for places already near flood. just heard it was 49mph gusting around 73 mph here, it did not seem like gusts at the time just full on for the best part of an hour.....be careful if your out and about.....
  3. wow that was an interesting couple of hours, back to gusts and its raining pretty heavy now, not much rain before the line, hard gusting wind then total blast no gusts just solid full on blast for abt 3/4 to an hour, not really special for this area but intersting all the same. look out if you decide to venture out, the emergancy services flying past here does not sound good, and local radio are reporting roofs gone and roads closed because of fallen trees......
  4. i think the squall line is just going through here now.......no break in the wind at all......very serious blast.....telegraph poles swaying a bit and the lights flickering here......the house has got a low hum to it... ....the ferries are being held outside the port, would not like to be out there now, roofs have been lost in Milford Haven and trees have blocked roads.......
  5. very intense here now, very hard gusts and now the rain, structural damage in the local area. no measuring equipment here but these gust are getting near 70mph and not easing off to much between gusts.
  6. The Met O have down graded the wind here a little to 70mph gusts by 6am......but.......i dont know should i be more worried about the rain it is very heavy now and only going to get a lot heavier.

  11. well if there was/is 80/90mph winds coming my way (i dont think there are the worst will be south of here) but you would be welcome to them, i dont fancy half a roof and no electricity coming up to Christmas.......be careful where these storms are concerned you may just get what you wish for ...........

  15. squall just went through here..................really dark the outside security lights came on..then.....all hell let loose, wind from 20mph upto 55mph in seconds, hail, and a flash of lightening, conifers here thrashing about like crazy, hail hitting the windows and doors that hard we had to nearly shout to hear each other...............now wind has dropped back and blue sky.......
