Something convective going on here. Some quite ark cloud bases around here but just had a sudden period of gusty winds with objects/branches etc swirling round a bit! Was looking out for a funnel/tornado but have not seen anything. Raining now though.

Just a very pleasant, dry day with good sunny spells here! Not much on the radar near here at all.

radar has suggested it should have rained here but it hasn't though.

Cloudy now but a warm and even slightly muggy day. Plenty of sun again but Some clouds had a bit of a plume characteristic to them. Small chance of a thunderstorm tonight.

When we work 5/7 days a week sadly it will always be more likely the best days of the week arent on the weekend! Still, imo I don't think the outlook is too bad. Mild even warm at times, amen sunnier days, some wetter ones. Very typical spring Fayre if you ask me.
Alsotomorrow after mid morning looks excellent? Straight sunny symbols and approaching 15c tomorrow afternoon!!!

Satellite clearly showing the best sunshine across Cornwall, Devon, West Midlands, West Wales and pets of NW England right now. Great warmth off that sun now with little breeze.

Another glorious sunny day. Long sunny periods again too. Satellite again shows here in one of the sunnier spots with convective cloud seemingly avoiding here more than elsewhere. There is some but a lot less than elsewhere hence long sunny spells and his it is warm again too.

This weekend/early next week might not have much interest now but today is lovely again. Currently sitting outside enjoying the warm sun. Very little breeze here too. Shorts are out and very pleasant it is.

Looks like the warm spell is almost no more now given latest gfs runs now. Typical the ecm would win now.

Haha it is very pleasant in the sun. Sun has shone most of the day. Where was Sedgley during last summers heatwave around 1st July? Lol

Yes on the odd occasion the sun goes behind the cloud the breeze is still a tad nippy but otherwise the sun compensates for that. Could be very very very pleasant late this weekend/early next week!

NOAA's very recent update seems to suggest it will be late summer or even Autumn until La Niña kicks in. Neutral conditions at least more likely for early summer.

Been a very pleasant sunny afternoon here. A little bit chilly in the breeze but a huge contrast from this morning.
Satellite shiws we are enjoying some of the best of the sunshine in the UK right now.

Well what a morning. Torrential rain gave way to torrential snow for a time. Massive flakes and left a small dusting. All gone of course now but a nice surprise. The MO did mention hill snow but wasn't expecting anything here. No more now please, time for the warmth now.
Quite a lot of road flooding this morning though.

Tomorrow morning looks pretty nasty. Maybe even some sleet/wet snow for eastern parts of Wales and parts of the West Midlands on higher ground for a time around 6-9am. MO Symbols and text forecasts mentioning this. Thankfully a better afternoon in store.

Always an important psychological step to summer. The sudden extra light in the evening is a real boost.
Of course it is darker in the mornings again for a bit but after 2-3 weeks it's back where it was till now anyway. -

Still it's Been a gorgeous day and very nice at 14c. Had a long pleasant walk around our local woodlands. Still the high pressure just gone was good enough here with about half the days being sunny. Very rare a high pressure at this time of year will be completely sunny.

Gosh this thread has gone quiet!
Today has been beautiful though. Some cloud but the sun has stayed out for much of the day and extremely pleasant at 14c so the best spring like day yet.
shame the rest of the holiday weekend looks wetter but maybe some thundery interest on Sunday and perhaps some nice sunny days returning later next week.

Looks like the convergence zone is the real aid here. Fairly dull here now but some dark cloud bases still.
