Ive not been following this cold spell really closely so im just wondering if it is expected this really snowy weather expected down south could push northwards into southern scotland or is it expected to die out before then?
Most people are saying that anywhere from about morecambe southwards will get the best snow, especially the Midlands. You may get some snow but not what us down south are getting!
-
Blimey, is that a ramp in your avatar Blizzards or just a slightly inclined walkway?!!
thats a path of the famous waterfront in Merry hill where i live extremely close too and next to the very famous merry hill centre.
On topic, yesterday evening the bbc predicted our night time temperature at -11c!

-
I just thought I'd let you know that my local BBC forecast said I could see 13-15 cm in my area and my local ITV forecast seems to think I could see 15-17 cm
Yes north parts of the South west and the whole of the Midlands looks the best for the Most snow along with some parts of Ireland (Not N.Ireland!)
-
yes! we had snow here over night and this morning and the odd flurry now!
The Midlands is the worst affected area for disruption on thursday! 70%!
Oh yeah and we could get some of the most snow!
This sounds like the best snow event ive ever seen yet in my life!
I quite agree with that!
-
Had snow here for much of the Morning and a shower overnight! Nothinng really stuck but the odd bits did!
-
Once i sort of experienced a sort of bad snow event when alot of the cars were struggling to get up the road!
-

Yeah! lol! I hope so anyway as im sure 0c is good enough!...hoping!
-
Hi Blizzards,
While it may still be cold at ground level, milder air will have invaded above. The precipitation will fall as rain. It has been known to rain at temperatures as low as -10C in some ultra-continental climates.
ahh thanks for that!

What a complete turnaround over the past 24 hours. It was looking likely according to the majority of forecasts that we'd get a sprinkling of snow here at some point this week but now it looks as if it's going to be sunny. Yes it'll be a little colder than usual these next few days but by Thursday it looks as if things will be much milder, incidentally the day when sleet or snow here is most likely.
The Midlands is the worst place to live if you enjoy snow
I looked at the Met office website earlier today and it looked like most of our snow will be overnight!
-
How is it looking for me on thursday now?
