  1. the snow appears to be moving SE'wards at the moment. Is this due to change?
  2. Had a good covering overnight and just had another heavy shower to top it up. Looks like more to come in the next 10 minutes too. Then we move into tonight and the early hours.....could be interesting
  3. Showers appear to be constantly skirting around me here. I currently have approx 4cm & no sign of any more to come
  4. As I said in the last thread..,I fancy a streamer setting up tonight & all eyes on the north sea!
  5. The way those showers are rolling in off the north sea ....anyone fancy a streamer tonight?! I do
  6. Heavy rain out here in West London (W11) has eased off. Got quite heavy for a time & came out of nowhere. Seems as though as the front moving up from France hits land that the air front is de stabilising. Very encouraging for those of us in the SE. We may get a late show going by the radar and the track the storms will take
  7. I think we could get something later Harry. The band pushing out of France does seem to be heading more NE than expected so we may catch something. Just hope they explode when they hit our shores and come our way
  8. Absolutely pelted it down In Central London about 45 minutes ago! Now sunny and bright again!
  9. Is it just me or does it look as though the centre of the low is now pivoting hard?! The line of storms across the Midlands appear to be stalling. Indeed it looks as though they could start heading in a more SE direction. What are peoples opinions on this? Could the band of heavy showers start heading back in a SE'ly direction? (could just be wishful thinking on my part)
  10. Not looking too good for us down here today Harry!
  11. Where the cells are erupting over France is a little too far south for my liking. It's looking more and more likely that the storms will go up NE through France and into Belgium. We really need the low to pivot hard and get the storms over France going in more of NNE direction.
  12. Interesting! I'll be having to drive at about 10-11pm this evening...could get some good light shows for my journey.
  13. Met Office have no warnings in place for the SE on Friday now! Where does the low look as though it will track? There seem to be some mixed forecasts at the moment
  14. Indeed Harry. Tonight could be a pretty restless night for us. I for one bet that the Hawley Road will be closed first thing in the morning!
  15. Looks as though things down here in the SE could get interesting overnight and in the early hours. I'm hoping it gets so bad that I can't make the trip into work in West London from NW Kent  BBC this morning played down the event saying how they don't expect much to happen in the London area, just a few heavy showers.....
  16. Harry, where In London are you based? I've moved from Hextable now & am living in Greenhithe! How I wish I was there now because out here in West London where I work I've had some light rain & that's all! I'll be out and about tonight- photographing the IMAX....I wonder what the chances are of getting some shots with lightning in them!?
  17. light snow here in Ladbroke Grove. Interesting few hours ahead for the SE. A couple of cms would be enough for me. Making everywhere look beautiful, yet keeping the main roads and main transport routes open
  18. Still chucking it down with snow here in Kent. Just keeps getting deeper and deeper.
  19. Travelling back from Bristol to Kent last night took me 6 hours. The M25 was unbelievable. Couldn't make the road out for the depth of snow from J9-3. Amazing. Here in Hextable I'd say we have a good 4-5 inches.
  20. Can anybody tell me if Oxford & swindon is likely to se much in the next few hours? Many Thanks
  21. Many Thanks, hoping the weather doesn't close in too much so I can make it up there!
