moderate snow with heavy busts here on mendipd finaly!
Question is how much of the ppn is coming into west country this evening?
Not a lot. The main band to the east going in a north west direction.

this is not travelling in that direction, its going north west, with a sligh west spin.

Still coming down hard here (Wareham), settling on grass but not on cars/roads. Been nearly an hour now.
Weymouth just too close to the coast, supprised its not drizzle or light rain.

snow now melting in the sun. Not sure what the temp is, but cant be near 0c. I will say it again, its just not cold enough. The temps should start to drop a little now we are entering the afternoon, but if today was supposed to be the coldest the rest of week looks poor for snow cover. Once again Bristol seems to miss all the action. The snowfall on the radar seems to die away as it comes west, that band across the east will stick to the east and east midlands and head north.

According to Net-weather radar, its head straight towards Bristol.
Hopefully! A thaw on tuesday, then maybe a chance later in week. Temps on Wednesday even higher.

cant see us getting much more in around Bristol today/tonight and with temps at 4-5 for tuesday, another Non-Event in my book.
That huge band of snow over central eastern areas is it going to be coming bristols way in next couple of hours you think?That band is going up the eastern side of the country.

Here, listen......the Met Office have just issued a flash warning, a FLASH, (80% confidence) of heavy snow for us between 1336 hours and 2359 hours!!!!! That's anytime now! :o

Plenty of snow falling but very little sticking, in fact when i woke up this morning we had about 0.5cm covering and now we have about the same on the grass but very little left on the roads, drives etc.
Thing is mate, we just don't get the cold tempetatures anymore. People keep saying this better than 1991, complete rubbish. It was -4 during the day!!!

getting a heavier shower (not that heavy), melting quick on pavements. Just not cold enough as usual.

Thats why I cant see what all the fuss is about (as regards to the milder sector) one day of snow then washed away by rain.....hardly a reapeat of 1991. But we will see..........

Any news on that milder sector? Meto still giving rain for the south east tonight/early hours.

Light snow flurries here, south of Bristol. Melting quite quickly. If today is supposed to be the coldest of the week, dont have much hope for any lying snow.

Id be very supprised to see any snow in warm wet weston-super-mare.

I thought it was supposed to be getting warmer! Didn't get above freezing here today in the shade, with the frost staying all day. 12 miles south of Bristol.

local radio just said the snow for my area is unlikely to stop until 4 o clock and won't totally disappear until 9pm
Dont think so mate, rain all day more like. Your temp is rising all the time, lots of rain in Bristol at the minute.

its all going north east i think, the temp here has dropped. The light snow is settling on cars now.

snow stopped here in Bristol. The main heavy snow is over south wales as usaual.
Snowing again now. I think the temp has dropped a bit.
