  1. It's wrong, no laying snow here in Haywards Heath, dont think anyone in West Sussex had any
  2. Could be last this decade lol, it's already been nearly 5 years since i had settled snow apart from early this year when i had about 0.5cm of slush that was gone in hour or 2
  3. temp on the way back up, now 1.6c from a low of 0.7c snow/rain mix was the best I got from the cold spell nothing settled what so ever. I hope that's not it for the winter...
  4. rain snow mix in burgess hill now turning to just snow, wet snow though at moment
  5. still peeing down with rain here (Haywards Heath, West Sussex) my garden weather station has recorded 3.6mm of rain already, since 5:46am when it started. Temp was 3c when rain started, its now dropped a little to 2.2c, DP 2.0c Met office have me down for heavy snow in couple of hours time, temps dropping the right way so could happen... but will be wasted on the wet ground I guess
  6. 2.7c with cold rain, but then I didn't expect anything different as that's all I saw yesterday here in West Sussex.
  7. I don't understand it either, I went to school in the 80s and was always gutted when I would listen to the radio and never hear my school called out, the head master used to walk 5 miles in the snow to have it open on time. Where I work expect me to get in unless I want to not get paid, or use a days holiday. Teaching kids to give up for bit of snow is not good, especially if climate change makes severe weather worse in the future
  8. Yes it has dropped off a lot, in Haywards Heath I recorded 7.4c at it's peak today, in last few hours it has dropped off quite fast, now 0.3c, DP 0.1c
  9. isn't there a different low pressure system due tomorrow morning? that's what i thought the models were showing
  10. Haywards Heath West sussex, 17.1mm of rain so far today in my garden, temp now 7.6c !!! massive jump in temp since 9am
  11. is there a chance the south downs could get a covering of snow? somewhere like devils dyke, it's 217 meters ASL Or ditchling beacon at 248 meters ASL
  12. I want to take my kids to the snow tomorrow as it wont be coming to where we are in Sussex by looks of it. Thanks to this forum it should be nice and easy to find out where we need to drive to when you start showing off with your snow pictures lol
  13. My Mrs said she was expecting 8 inches, I don't think it will snow either..
  14. Yeah, if that's correct then should be amazing on the downs around the Beacon or devils dyke
  15. Well after yesterday's 12z ECM put us down for a major snow event Monday, the 6z ECM just run does the same! Plus even puts us in the game on Sunday...
  16. your joking surely ? It would be amazing if all the snow that's been forecast by the models for up north landed in south east England for a change, i would gladly rob all the norths snow this winter if i could lol
  17. Just been out in the garden refuelling my car (runs on waste cooking oil) and it feels a lot colder now than it did 2 or 3 hours ago when i was last outside. my garden weather station says it's 4.8c with dew point of 3.1c, so not as cold as it feels.
  18. I get the sneaky feeling this time we going to get snow, maybe even tonight or tomorrow, but Sunday and Monday could still upgrade yet for us, and i think it might lol and to think it's only 7th december, we could have 3 plus months of these fun and games yet...
  19. that does look quite a lot, lets hope some finds its way down here
  20. LOL i know, i couldn't believe my eyes when i first saw the chart. Just goes to show what still could happen... I know it's unlikely but you never know
  21. just saw this posted in the MOD thread, not a bad snow accumulation chart for Monday from the ECM Getting on for 12 inches in the south lol, or am i reading that wrong?
  22. Snow for us all by Sunday evening if the latest GFS run has the track right Lets bank this one please
