  3. anyone notice how quickly temperatures are falling away loch glascarnoch is already at -6 if that continues could well see minimas of -10 and below tonight.

  5. What do you need gloves for!! I have heard that Wiltshire's climate is verging on tropical these days! only joking! Looks like the weekend may bring the gloves out as its set to get slightly chilly! Cheers Scott
  6. Cant believe this thread is still going, We had taken our gloves off so we could take pictures!!Trying to take pictures with frozen gloves on is not advisable!!
  7. lol the poor sods that would have had to rescue him would have been me and my brother! neways good climb actually about the eighth time I have done Ben Nevis! now climbed over 130 of the scottish munros
  8. Hi Norrance I was up Ben Nevis on Friday there,( See photography section for pictures) Plently of snow there with some really deep drifts!So I would see any patches will almost certainly have survived!Cheers Scott
  9. lol I knew somebody was going to mention my mate hes from Inverness and always wears jeans hes a nutter we just let him be, Actually his jeans froze..it was that cold! yeah most likely the snow in the upper regions will stay all winter just depends on conditions! Cheers Scott

Hey guys thanks for the comments! well freezing level that day was around 600-700m hence at the top would have been well below freezing coupled with the wind it was rather cold as my face shows. Must say there is already some crazy drifts on Ben Nevis saw one that was at least 20-30feet. The snows piling up nicely bodes well for the sking season!
  11. Well not posted on here for a while, fourth year of uni has been main cause of that. Decided to take a day out and went up Ben Nevis. Really glad I did pictures just dont do the place justice. Also If climbing Ben Nevis please go past north face instead of going up the tourist route as you dont see Ben Nevis in all it's glory! Theres an abundance of people who don't realise we have this scenery in Scotland, England and Wales and it annoys me sheer Ignorance! everybody should expierience the great outdoors and you dont need to go abroad its on your doorstep!Cheers Scott
