Very lucky , i think if i the lightning was c-g rather than above us we'd probably be dead....... But was it worth it? YES!

Saw some lightning towards the west and south west kent and kept on trying to take a photo having no luck at all however i didn't give up. As the storm got closer i got this shot I decided to go out in the fields ( madness ) with hardly any light pollution , lightning was getting closer and closer. There was a bright flash that was SO strong it blinded me and my dad , i had to close my eyes and couldn't see for a few secs. Right after that an almighty bang and all the power went out , it was right above us. Next stop was towards the coast but the rain just got too intense and decided to head back home. On the way back more lightning and a quick stop on the roadside was needed.. The lightning was very intense again. Visited Herne Bay , Herne , Birchington The radar images at the time Sat pic

Yeh! Not as if i didn't try to get some photo shots , but failed terribly as the rain came down so hard

The rain was so intense that photographing the forked lightning was ni on impossible

Thankyou btw i went back and did some editing of number 7! , i felt it could be better..

Did my first image blend without the use of HDR , read through a few tutorials on TP and got this... does it work?
