    Still lying snow here, no snow from the sky but we did have some light freezing rain earlier. Its 0.3c now, the first time above zero for at least a week.

    The 30cm earth temp at the weather station 5 miles from here is 2.2c

    No air frost yet here, minimum of 0.4c so far this weekend, however the corsock weather station along the road was reading -1.6c whilst at the same time it was 2.4c here at 7.45am this morning.

    Ground frost forecast for this area tonight, wont get a frost here but I think the weather station 5 miles away down in the river valley will get an air frost tonight

    Was a thundery shower well to the west of me around 16:30, 2 showers passed overhead in total now but no thunder from these, some nice colours on the radar at the moment.

    Hi ppl. Just had a thunderstorm earlier. started about 6pm, lasted for about an hour, not as good as the one on thursday night, but some decent lightning.

    wow, if you live in the far Northwest of England the 1300 met office radar is well worth a look.

    No snow here, not even up at Eskdalemuir, take it the cold air didn't get as far south as here temp currently 2.8c raining.

    very light covering of slushy crap here, just watch out for the rain turning to snow at the back end of the rain band.good luck for snow guys and happy new year.

    Its been a cold night here I recorded a low of -8.2 C but -9 C was recorded in Dumfries, It is now - 4.3 C but rising fast and a covering of high cloud.

    Crikey look at those bright colours on the 1400hrs radars, must be torrential rain. Light/Moderate rain here all day but easing off now as the rainband moves away. 6.8C pressure:- 985mb.

    Think I can safely write off any chance of snow showers here in D&G 2nite, there were some showers in the region earlier, but they were all to the west of me all the higher hills are white tho.

    Dunno whats happened to this cold air, its warmer here than it was at the same time yest. 5oC, high cloud coming down from the north.
