    I don't think there is anything to get down about, we were never due anything until tmrw at the earliest, and that still looks odds on to me, and in the meantime it might get pretty cold overnight! EDIT: Adam: I guess it could be blowing in on a pretty quick wind

    Clear skies now, with a temp of -2.3C and a DP of -8.6C! Feeling like -9.8C in the wind which is 20knots from the ENE gusting to 27.8knots Humidity dropping, 62% now and pressure steady at 1005mb

    satellite images show a large cloudless patch over pretty much the whole of south central and south western england, but it is all moving quite quickly!

    True true! On the positive, with the clouds now to the west there was a cracking sunset tonight!

    No idea, but I am on a NE facing hill, and Dartmoor does have its own 'special' microclimate... at least those at Princetown think so... but then it is foggy for 360 days a year there.

    Certainly thicker clouds here now, but nothing falling from them! Currently -1.8C, with dew point of -6.0C and feeling like -9.1C in the wind... on the plus side, the log fire is lit and Zulu is on...

    I don't think he is suggesting a 'two child' policy to be law, but relying on people to make more informed decisions over becoming parents etc. Which can't be a bad thing regardless of the environment... It would be just as evil to introduce an infertility drug into the water supply as a way to curb population, at least the former gives people the option.

    A high of -1.2C here today... Guess thats what comes from sitting at 900feet on a NE facing hill, the wind has been howling today, there are some dark clouds to the east, but beyond them its looking clear.

    Its been cloudy all day here... nada yet, although it has got darker in the last 30mins or so.

    Pressure dropping like a stone today, with dewpoints still well below freezing and ground temp at -1.5C who knows...

    Still removed for down here... gotta love global warming... -1.4C and nothing to show for it! Wheres the wetter winters?!

    Its also at odds with the latest countryfile forecast, which showed quite heavy snow over Devon for a time. Guess its just going to be a case of wait and see, but if its going to be this cold out and not get snow its just miserable...

    Figures Aside from that, the temp is still -1.4C with the dewpoint dropping to -4.3C!

    Brrr... overnight low of -2.2C and is currently -1.6C, the wind from the ENE at 12 knots and the windchill down to -8.1C! DP is -3.6C and its generally overcast. Lovely.

    Morning all. Amazingly the windchill up here is currently -8.1C with the actual temp being closer to -1.5C and the dp -3.6C... lovely, overcast at the moment, but dry. Haven't checked the forecasts but the models seem to suggest that we are still on for something over the next few days.

    Wind has picked up from the East, gusting at about 30mph at times, bring the temp down from a max of 4.1C at about midday to 3.3C now, altho nearer -1C in the wind. Pressure fell earlier but is now steady at 1004mb

    The NW homepage is showing a 92% chance of snow for dartmoor tmrw... really? :lol:

    Hey all fingers crossed from this one, the snow level seems to have risen here in the last 2 years, before that we routinely had a good dumping in Feb, lets see if this year can reverse that trend!

    Morning all, Currently 4.0C (altho closer to 1.0C in the wind - coming from the East at 10knots) and overcast, but at least it has stopped raining! Temperature hasn't really changed much from about midday yesterday, but looks like it might get colder as the weekend goes on!

    Morning all. Thick fog up here today, with a temp of 5.7C down from 6.3C overnight. Heavy rain last night. Winds from the ESE at 4knots, all in all looks pretty miserable out!
