What are the chances of that snow in the north or Scotland getting to the North East later today? I don't think we are forecast any snow for today or the foreseeable future are we?

Hi, Its not too bad, side roads are snowy/icy but the main roads are fine.

As i typed the above, the first flakes are falling, no rain, just snow flakes, small though.

If this was happening down south they would have warnings up, the south can't handle the snow. I doubt we will get a lot from this, probably be all sleety and slushy, a mess basically, but when it freezes it should be fun.

www.xcweather.co.uk is saying TEESSIDE is still -8*c. Went to Stewart Park this morning and my cars thermometer said it was -4*c was very cold!!

Is this band tonight going to be rain/sleet or snow? Hopefully the latter, its -4 at the moment and I doubt it will get above freezing today, just a guess.

just a few fine flakes in Middlesbrough at the moment, looks like the clouds are forming off the coast and working inwards.

How come its been raining in scotland for nearly 40 hours yet there are no warnings. Also the BBC don't even mention the floods up in Scotland. If this was happening in London then it would be all around the UK on the news with weather warnings and the lot. God dam news!!!

Its good seeing it snowing already in Scotland. Hopefully this can travel down to NE England tonight and cover Middlesbrough. I highly doubt it like!!! I thknk Sat and Sun are the best chance for Middlesbrough get any Temporary Snow, if it melts I head up to the hills which are not that far away

ITs looking good for the North East (Middlesbrough) but how can the Metoffice issue a warning for 2 cm lol. That nothing. Hopefully I will see more than 2cm, if not i'll be driving up the hills

Right i've been on this forum for a while but only post during thundery and snowy weather. This weekend promises to be a good one, well looking at the outlook charts it does. A biting northerly or northeasterly wind hopefully bringing snow showers to the north and the east of the UK. What are everyones thoughts on the amount of snow places might get? Obviously it will melt quickly once the sun gets on it as the sun is getting stronger all the time. I didn't know where to properly discuss this as like I said i've not been on the forum for a whilte and it seems a little intimidating as the forums are busy but I dunno if this thread will be moved or deleted or merged with another one. ps, sorry if its in the wrong place!!

It will probably all turn to rain knowing our look. I'm in Portsmouth which will probably get nothing, but i'm hoping to see something either on saturday or sunday when I'm back up north in Middlesbrough.
