Could anybody tell me the earliest autumn day it has ever snowed in the Birmingham area? Interested to know
-
It's been a beautiful day with long sunny periods, a gentle NW breeze and a max of 13c.
Clear sky this evening, 8c and falling.
Tamworth Staffordshire
Temp 9.4C and Clear.

never done any check on it, but I would think well over better than even at 15 days otherwise they would not isse it.
I could not give figures as I have never tested its accuracy.
From my own experiience I would say 75-80% falling to 60-65% by day 15.
Quite a good guide then.
What is the accuweather forcasts like? I found that site today.

Not quite. Coldest was way back in 1782 at 2.3c.
Where do you get these records from OP?
-
Since 1659,
Warmest 1994 (10.1C)
Coldest 1915 (2.8C)
My God 10.1C. Funny I don't seem to remember it but it was only 13 years ago!
Thanks for that

Hi guys
When did the warmest and coldest Novembers occur?
-
nope, but the Met O 6-15 day outlook is a better one, not as long but more chance of being correct.
thanks John
In percentage terms how accurate is the met office 6-15 day forcast do you reckon?
-

Better still you can use our own monthly outlooks written by TWS (Ian Simpson), which are updated twice a month!

Thanks guys I have noticed that the BBC one changes every week so I guessed it was not up to much.

Hi guys this is my first post. I am a lover of the cold weather and hope we have a cold winter. However with 18C forcasted on Thursday I just wondered what the record November temp is?
Does anybody take notice of the BBC monthly forcast?
