They are getting excited on the main model thread with good signs midweek onwards that we may start to see some of the white stuff, hopefully this chase might just be a bit more productive than other chases we have endured this winter, seems a long time since we've had a decent dumping.
That little flurry didn't last long, nowt else showing up on the radar to interest me unless the wind veers more N/NE later, the temp will probably drop quite a bit now once this cloud has cleared
looking very promising for a cold spell starting over the weekend acc. to the latest models, I can't remember the last time I had more than a few inches of snow, hope it happens, interesting week of model watching this week
canny cold outside now at -0.1C, last frosty night before the real mild sets in for the rest of the week, fingers crossed we will be on the next chase sooner rather than later
its been a canny start to winter, still got a decent covering, ice day today, also had a few flakes this afternoon which has meant I have had snow falling every day since Tuesday (even if it was a few flakes today)
I wonder if any of the snow currently showing on radar over Cumbria will get across the hills to the N.E. today
My lowest temp recorded overnight was a perishing -7.5c
Woke up earlier to another slight dusting this morning, had a couple of moderate sleet/snow showers this morning, looks like some decent blobs on the radar in the North sea
