I rather enjoyed the forecast,it looks reasonably hopeful for me here as far as at least one good snow event however I also felt there was a veil of vagueness as far as later on in the week when the front hits on thursday,will that be a snow event or not in the East?

I thought all of the pics were fantastic however particularly liked no's 3 and 5

7pm sleety rain turned to heavy persistant snow-Just west of Killhope lead mining museum/nr Lanehead,North Pennines Co.Durham.Snow began to lie quickly before I decided to leave.

Given the vast ammount of stars out there in space I feel it's a mathmatical certainty that life has evolved on many other planets,my problem with UFO's is (Ignoring the obvious probs such as time and distances etc) what's the point in what they appear to be doing? if they wished to study the Earth and its inhabitants secretly surely their technology would allow them to do so,so why would they leave their lights on?

Yup CM that was my understood take on that offensive too,however after reading the account of someone who was there it rather surprised me to find that they felt the weather had indeed been a major factor-if however the Germans had secured major fuel dumps and weather allowing re:poor airpower visibility,been able to distribute the fuel it may have caused major delaying problems and although not actualy changing the course of the war it would have allowed the Soviets more time to push even further West than they did,possibly changing the face of the Europe we now know.

You have raised some fascinating talking points summer,I will certainly need to do some reading up on this,one point I wish to query though(and I'm probably wrong) but my understanding of the Easter Island decimation was deforestation leading to chronic soil erosion and starvation with the arrival of desease ridden European sailors delivering the final blow.
