Heavy snow shower. Lasted about 2mins

Just having a very heavy snow shower at 3°c

Snowing like the clappers and sticking. Half an inch already. This is supposed to be sleet...

Far too early lol I have vivid memories of '63. It's not likely to compare as the snow then started with such a bang and never really let up

Wind picking up. +0.4c It's bitter. BTW perhaps the BBC and Gov ought to use "The Marches" more often, although West Country does it for me. Still, can't wait to get back to Borth...

I have noticed over my life-time there is a tendency with extemes of weather that breakdowns are definite, i.e. if you have hot 30c it breaks with thunderstorms. In this case I can see no sudden break. I feel a reload or reassertion of cold after a slight milder, say 0c , to be likely. I just dont feel a breakdown to normal Feb averages this year. More like Global Cooling/Warming Averaging-out...

Depends on how big your shovel is? Mines an aluminium one but I've still given up...

casparjack I know the feeling. I find it difficult to find a thread that follows our County. Some call it the Herefordshire Bowl others a Plane. I have been known to copy post to three to see the consensus. As far as this period is concerned Metcheck have down graded to sleet for Tuesday, but they did that last week and I got a good hard festive covering on Wed. p.s. the Midland lot have been trying to annex us for decades, but I tend to a. listen to BBC Glos., and b. our weather streams in from the SW, so you can see where I'm coming from.

Ahhhh '63.... Now your talking. I remember '63 It was so cold the pipe burst in my bedroom and soaked it... It was so cold my headmistress's shoes froze on to her feet... It was so cold the tiles on't roof went ta doost....eeehh It was so cold our cat froze in't mid air catchin a sparra... EEEEEhhhhh

Back home and its serious! Full 1 inch per hour Temp holding at -0.4c Cross you leg...errr fingers for 6 hrs worth. Talk about lamping.....
