1. Here in the N.S.W. (OR SW WS Smidlands) its -0.9c. Fog has lifted and the cloud looks threatening, init. We had some rime mid-morning, and it feels like snow, honest. One site has been firm on snow this evening, and now reckon on some heavy stuff before midnight.... And they reckon (ramp) snow on the 25th..... RATS now they're saying "snow showers"...
2. Typical! Says it all really. However, Dense fog again and -3.4c, and all very pretty
3.

I want a recount! Seriously, what with Malvern Hills, Black Mountains and Cotswolds hemming us in, its no wonder our weather comes from West Country. Hey ho...
4. This is weird. Heavy frost, of course, but dense freezing FOG. Temp -5.8 c and dropping. There is also a rumour of of snow here on 24th/25th... Am I in the Midlands, the SW or E Wales?

7. Saw this thread a couple days ago, but was busy, errr, lampposting. I have a 90w SON* on the corner overlooking the yard. I can see it best from the back door or though the upstairs curtains "(Don't disturb those curtains again!"..). I like the term "lamping" BUT round here they'd think you were poaching at night with a errrr lamp... O/T but I find fir trees ideal during daylight hours. *SON lamps are the rather nice champagne colour wereas the older awful orange ones were SOX. And yes in a former life I was a civil engineer, and did a stint in Local Authority Happy days.... ....but sad ....
8. Cracking frost. After 10pm's flurry, which left very covering it has to be said, it's looking clear ATM. Temp at 6.00am was -4.1c
9. -0.4c and nice and crisp. (cup 1/2 full) btw it always is warmer before it snows. Thought you all knew that
10. OK. I have -0.8c and falling. Had 16 flakes at lunch-time. FEELS like snow
11. http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/warnings.asp Just love the map.... (note to self: don't overdo it)
12. And then all of a sudden we get a new major warning. Excellent. Even the SW looks serious
13. My avitar came and went too (or more accu'ly went and came but sounds iffy like that)... Snow in the system...
14. Just changed batteries in indoor sensor. Temp dropped to -0.4deg C
15. Makes me wonder what the average 15 year old feels about it all. Off to Weatherspoons (!) maybe.... .....
16. Hmmmm... From 1933, 26-37-7-3 gaps. Long gap from 1959-1996; 37 years. No survival during 1976......??
17. Forgive my ignorance, but does any snow last all year on mainland GB?
18. Chucking down here still. Love this cam http://www.lymington.com/~webcam/image.jpg
19. Wonderful place, the Isle of Wight.Hell of a night at Blackgang in 1969 thanks to the local Morris Men.What happened to the old house at Niton we camped at that had had the upper floors demolished. A childrens wonderland remained complete with model railway (long gone) and toadstools you could climb up into....Happy days...
20. T & L SE of me in Ledbury direction at the mo. Had some stair-rods at about 10pm.
21. Thunder and lightning coming from the S
22. BBC really are a pain. The South Midlands/SW are a region. Herefordshire weather is distinct from WM because of Bredon/Malvern/Clee Hills.
23. Still very heavy. I have a view across E Herefordshire and it looks like I imagine Somerset had it last week!! Oh and its -0.1c now
