Snowing heavy here now. Latest radars showing interesting developments in the Irish Sea, seems to be growing and intensifying. Looks like it could bring snow to Cumbria
-
Moderate snow here, big fluffy flakes.
-
Snow now almost stopping, really good day here, 20cm + and an ice day temp never got above -1.3C.
-
Still snowing here, back to moderate snow beggining to ease off
Anyone in northeast Scotland reporting snow? The showers in Aberdeenshire and the Highlands look quite meaty.
-
GFS 12z a big downgrade for snow on saturday. The way the models are at the moment I wouldn't be suprised if the 18z upgrades even more so than the 06z.
-
ppn in the Irish Sea looks to be intensifying could be interesting this evening for places in North Wales and the North. Snow is very heavy now, heaviest its been since 07:30. Going to go and and measure again soon. Looks like getting close to 20cm now.

-
moderate snow still coming down, 18cm now with drifts up to 1m Saturday is looking very interesting.

GFS is going for the rain turning to snow as far south as me, with temps around 0c on Saturday. Round 2?
Yeah it looks likely at the moment, cold air will stick around above a line from Bristol to London.
Anwhere north of a line from North Wales to the Humber could see wintry showers friday night with the cold air digging in further south through into Saturday bringing the snow risk down into South Wales, Midlands with it settling on higher ground. Saturday looks very interesting for Scotland and the Northeast. Can see the Grampians and Northern Pennines getting a pasting.

11cm's of snow here with 50cm drifts, lying ontop of a couple of cm's of frozen Ice and Snow from a couple of days ago. All schools still open and everyone doing their best to get to work as usual. Amazes me that a few cm's can bring the Midlands and the South so much chaos.
-
Heavy to moderate snow now, almost horizontal from a strong easterly wind. 11cm deep with drifts up to 50cm forming.
-
1cm here, whats the snow consistency like there? get blasted by a fine snizzle in between the larger flakes. Roads are covered, no amount of gritting has helped.
Flakes are about 1cm is size. getting blown about everywhere. Seems to be easing a little in the past 10 minutes. This snow is lying on top of the other days snow and two days of frost. Loads of Ice formed here last night before the snow came. Just hoping the mountains do their work and intensify the snow now and stall it.

Another load of rain has fell here today and is still falling. When all this water makes its way out of the mountains the Severn and Dee are going flood even more. Places like Chester and Shrewsbury need to act now.
