    can see your shower well on nw radar. looks very potent. just not gonna come far enough west to give me another top up!

    out for a walk now and zero thaw of last nites snow. light snow shower on and off for last 30 mins. alot windier this evening too and biting cold. winter wonderland outside.

    about an inch and a half here last nite in total. fantastic powder snow. cars cant make it up the hill outside my house.

    just back from leavin missus to work and we have over an inch of fluffy dry snow. car temp -3c. still snowing moderately on and off on way back. roads around monaghan town are the worst theyve been during this cold snap.

    the front due to push down seems incredibly slow. clears skies here today but 20 miles north there is thick cloud with light sleet/snow flurries. returned home this evening and still clear, seems cloud hasnt moved all day. temp under cloud in clogher valley 2c. back in monaghan town under clear skies 0c. smashing pics there. where are they taken and what kind of altitude?

    countyfile weather just on now and remaining very cold til end of week at least. cold enough for snow but precip looks to be in short supply.

    alot of excitement in the model thread now. models in agreement of up to 2 weeks more very cold weather!

    thanks. sliabh beagh hills which border Monaghan, Tyrone and Fermanagh. these were taken on the monaghan part at about 350mts.

    was up for a walk in the sliabh beagh hills now. loaded with snow. above 300mts there is 7 or 8 inches with 2 foot drifts. zero thaw of wednesdays new snow. wind has scoured higher exposed areas but left some deep drifts and sastrugi. alpine conditions, best ive seen i think and that is day 17 of complete cover up there. a fantastic winter scene.

    was out for a drive now past sliabh beagh hills and they are loaded with snow. could only get as far as 200mts but even there has about 3 or 4 inches of new snow from wednesdays event. i suspect higher up could have got 6 inches of new snow on top of the 4 inches that was already there. 16 days with complete snow cover up there. might walk up there tomorrow and take some pics.

    can anyone help my with uploading photos to the forums? when i try to attach my files they wont upload. i think the files are too big? it says 3mb per file max. how can i reduce my photo files?

    was up the sliabh beagh hills today for a dander.[10 miles round trip actually!]. very little thaw above 250mts and over 4 inches of frozen snow at about 350mts. even in the sun there was no thaw. all higher lakes still froze solid. could see north to the sperrins and slieve gallion and they are brilliant white. have some pics will try to upload them. anyone know how to upload pics?

    more snow showers last nite have left everything white again. thick fog now too. i think thats 6 consecutive mornings with snow on the ground. been a long time since that has happened before christmas!

    hardly any thaw of remaining snowcover today and had a coupe of light snow showers this evening which have left another covering.

    fair bit of thaw here today but still some decent pockets of snow left. remaining snow now froze solid again.

    we have about an inch and a half of snow lying here now after further showers early last nite. low cloud and fog keeping temps above freezing though but maybe this will prevent much of a thaw today. not expecting any more snow today so hopefully the sun will stay away and the snow will still be there when i get home from work.

    had another really heavy snow shower about 30mins ago. put down about another half inch or so. brilliant white scene outside. snow is so dry it has blown off the top of the car.
