2.5 c now in North Newbald at 10.30pm and dropping fast ......completely clear skies now .....( temp was 5 c at 9pm when i last checked) ps . just had a text from my friend in Durham to say it was snowing there

a great run ....and in a timeframe that i can believe in at last. The Easterly now appears nailed on and a huge change noticeable on these shores by Sat. The high is in an excellent position and the pool of cold air looks astonishing to me ( albeit i am still learning ) More snow potential on his run by the looks of it , rather han just frost and fog. The Atlantic also looks very quiet on this run -

a good summer for East Yorkshire , with lots of warm sunny days in June and Aug ( July was not great anywhere by the sound of it ) ( better than 2007 and 2008 in terms of rainfall and temperature ) -

Hi Iceburg ....my mum lives in Shillingstone ....she describes the road to Sturminster Newton in a similar fshion. Have you climbed up Hod or Hambledon Hills in this snow ? ...it must be fantastic
