Please can you out a sheild up in my area too . This forecast alone is giving me nightmaresJan, I see you're around, can you activate the Bromley Borough thunder shield please. We must be allowed a shield, 2 brontophobes in the space of a couple of miles of each other, surely we qualify.

My 13 year old doesn't slam doors she just stomps around...first thing she said when she got home from school was "no snow then?!" and stomped off,,,ah kids
SNAP...My 11 yr old daughter came home from school and said the same though adding it was my fault apparently i said it would start snow this afternoon... oops,, not more than a lone flake in the wind here

Trust me I really hope im wrong and maybe I am. Hopefully we shall know alot more after tomorrow mornings output. I just want members to have this in the back of their mind so if we don't see the snow as the BBC/Met O are predicting then we might have less disappointment.
Long time since ive posted but thought Id finally would, I am one totally aware and not expecting anything from this Friday /Saturday as someone a few years ago ( yourself i think) said never expect anything in our region from a westerly only a Easterly - This has proved right over the years, especially for me next to the coast. Still Hope I'm wrong as would love to see a few flakes

There are some Interesting reports of snow depths on this thread. As a rule of thumb, I would halve the reported amounts and you will end up with the actual depths.

Morning peeps, Well down in sunny Clacton i have 14cm on flat patio and 20cm with the drifting on grass
Talk about bad night sleep after giving up on here about 1 am , spent most night getting out bed and checking it was still snowing. up now and ready to walk to work, i'm not even going to atempt to get car off the drive

Went bed early last night so i can have a radar, lamp post night tonight but after my excitement this morning I'm reading again- sleet next to the Sea and coasts lines

Morning all,
Temp low compared to yesterday at 17c. Low grey mucky cloud and getting darker by the minute.
Humidity sitting at 82%
Thundery headache finally gone after 2 days so thats a bonus
