Had the squall line pass through here at about 12.30, taken a few trees down and also blew kwik fit roof off :o so far no reports of anyone hurt. Was quite a scary experiance and had to run in nearest shop for cover. lol.
Blue skys appeared after but now have been taken over with darkness and this is the view , sorry phone quality, looking west

Thunderstorm here from what appeared to be little cell ( co15) been going around 10 mins now with regular strikes and few very close ones,, right going back into hiding

Morning (i think) All,
Thunderstorm here rudely awoke me and going by the nw radar the rain just about get worse ( co15)
I suppose the ground needs it but the last day of the Clacton Air show will be a bit soggy

glad to see your alright I thankfully missed the storms and I echo your sentiments of not seeing any more storms for a little while
A couple decades should do
o well done on missing them,, im glad mine done and over with and i can sleep tonight now
I wonder if we'd be the only ones if we started a ' We Don' t want storm thread ' ?

I regret to inform you all i will be leaving the no storms club, which i wanted to stay in for at least a couple of yrs , But after this afternoons storms attacking me i will be leaving
Good luck to all waiting to withdraw membership in here

Hello all,, came out of hibernation now
Had 3 storms but with only half hour gap between them all
Rain total 18mm so far and temp dropped from 26c at 12.30 pm to a lovely refreshing 18 at present
hopefully thats my only storms for the year

anybody else get headaches before a storm?? getting one now, and on that note.. cloud building over london and west of me... fingers crossed this may be it!!
I always get a headache , followed my a full blown migrane by the time the storm arrives,, so far my head is clear ....

Lovely blue skys here with a temp of 27c and humidity of 63 with slight southerly breeze
Now peeps ,, i can near on guarantee these thunderstorms will be over my house during the night and tom morn even though gfs says NO so do any of you storm lovers want to swap house ??
because i really really dont want any storms and am very happy staying in the no storms club
Fingers crossed that my little sea breeze keeps it away from sunny Clacton

Came over very dark here half hour or so ago,, with some red echoes, hailstorms and a few flashes and bangs !!
Now out off the end of the pier and looking very black still

Have had some well deserved heavy rain this afternoon,,with some amazing cloud formations flying past, out to sea at the moment looks like night
NO thunder suprisingly though i was waiting for a strike to happen any minute !!
Cant believe how nice it is to see puddles and a soaking wet garden !!! wahooo
though sun is shining brightly at the moment and drying up ground very quickly

We finally got some rain here last night 0.2 mm ,honestly wasnt even enough to get roads properly wet let alone my poor veggy patch
Very muggy here and clouds just breaking now
Hopefully we'll get a good downpour later,,but with out the storms

Since Yesterday morning my friend came round mine worrying about her sister who lives in Cairns,
since then i have keeping up with the twitter thread and abc news for her , I must admit the abc news is quite addictive
Though i hope everyone is safe
And about animals abc spoke to someone last night who had brought all his chicken and goats i the house with him !!!

Okay , just spent the last hour digging out the sledge from under the swimming pool in the shed,, just in case.... still haven't told the kids,just incase :ph34r: made that mistake before,
Anyway all looking good so far--- good luck all
oh and think that was a blip on radar showing snow in Clacton, dry as you like
