    Easing of a bit now - temperature rising slowly, now 1.3c. looking at the radar we may have seen the best/worst of the snow for now here in NE Hampshire - main band moving away slowly NW. Will the large area to our NE sink southwards? An uneven 1-2cms on the ground, very wet and a bit slushy!

    A cold cloudy windless morning here in NE Hampshire. Snow beginning to thaw on roofs and paths and bits falling off trees and bushes. Very light snow falling at the moment. Seems to be some precipitation forming over the channel and moving northwards. Temp here is +1.5C.

    Still snowing here although eased a bit in last hour. About 2cms settled on top of lying snow. Temp now +0.4C - roads will be tricky if this freezes later! Local problems (A31 Winchester-Alton bad at moment). Not sure how much more we will get, radar looks a bit more patchy now.

    Nothing yet in Alton despite radar showing light rain. a fair bit of heavier precipitation to our SW. Temp here +1.5C. No way of measuring dewpoints I'm afraid.

    The precipitation on the radar creeps ever closer to Alton! Temp here has risen in last hour from -1C to +1C. A mere whisper of a wind from SE. Seem to be very much on the edge of things ATM, although updated METO warning does say 'extending to other parts of southern England later....'. Birds are busy in the garden - usually a good sign of snow?!

    Temp here is -1C. Band of precipitation now edging N-NE into Southampton to my SW. Not sure if (a) it will reach Alton, (B) it will fall as snow?? Radar shows it all as rain ATM.

    Light snow has been falling for a couple of hours now. slight dusting on cleared paths etc. Temp -1C. Radar shows this light snow moving a bit further west than predicted.

    Almost stopped here although we may get a bit more later if that area over Salisbury way heads east. We have 12cms - 5 inches. Temp falling again now -1.3C

    Still snowing steadily here in Alton- probably 4 inches lying snow. Temp currently -1C Out to feed the birds again - the first feed was gone in a flash! Roads not good - too many people venturing out in their cars, slippery and dangerous!

    Still snowing lightly here - now a dusting on everything. Been coming down for about three hours. Interesting that it now shows a rain/snow (sleet) mix on NW radar but falling as snow. Temp here is 0.3C

    Yes - been snowing lightly here in Alton for a couple of hours. A nice covering developing! Area of snow on radar seems to be growing and drifting slowly southwards/eastwards. Temp here is 0.0C.
