Thats what I call severe ,as in a complete fizzle out from this to that in a few hours

Chinnook ..they sound fantastic ,but I think I have said before they land and circle more than just a couple of them because of the distinct noise you know its them , at Mereworth woods M.O.D base but always mostly at night so you can hear but cannot see..Great chopper that....ps like the sound of a huey to a Vietnam veteran

Yea.. never had an elevated storm from France for ages it seems in Kent, best this year was early May I think hail turned the ground white like snow but that was from west ..nowt since .. Ps got some spits and spots of rain ..and its muggy ..or we are mugs for believing we will have a storm

Plus it must be low ish level instability not elevated because the relatively cool water has knocked the stuffing out of it

We had some convective showers here early before the grey leaden sky and wind took over ....Hastings that is ..as not fine horizontal drizzle like now but big dollops ..and blue sky in between ..pushed on by this I guess

Put your sail up ...hoist the colours and your be in Reading at a fair few knots ..since I've been in Hastings I've got all nautical....I can't fathom it out ...what i find is strange .. is how somewhere just a few miles, away (the way the crow flies ,has its own little micro climate ...you all must as weather people experience that on holiday ..that wasn't ment to happen etc etc ..crazy ..not saying if your in the Caribbean or Mediterranean but literally just down the road ..fascinating ..

What bit of America would laugh....the houses destroyed by tornadoes..or the coasts washed away by hurricanes or the 6 foot of snow that cuts people off for ages or the fires that ravage through there neighbourhoods ..or droughts and sweltering heat ..America is a big country...when any of that happens I guess they don't laugh...they cry ..but like me and I guess you ..we love extreme weather ..I do ..but I don't like seeing the upset of it all ...we don't get that ..which is a shame ..till it happens ps im sorry I know what you meant ..

I know its the way you said it ..I'm in St Leonards..since Sunday its been what I call windy ..breezy ..etc etc but but 9 times out of ten it is ..this time last year I watched or heard music on Hastings pier and it was like the med ..like a mill pond and so hot ..this year well ..back to square one ..:)

And if your after a storm or heavy shower im sorry im here ..the radar did say yes..but see me and split one out in channel one gone inland ..it sees me miles away and takes a wide berth

I think your all used to it here on coast ..what makes it sound worse is trees in full leaf ..but its always windy ish compared to Tonbridge it is ..cheers for that though

I see my old tricks are still working..Tonbridge just got a dirty great shower (never ever when I'm there) but in Hastings where I am its sunny if a little breezy but when isn't Hastings a little breezy if not gale force ..everyone here walks tilted to the northeast ..but on radar we could get one soon fingers crossed ..

Tbh Im not sure even the experts are that sure, i know they are perplexed at the quickness of it all...wild fires are wild fires ..but early in the year I knew AMOC..was different ..like no slap around the face...but behind your back sort of thing ,I still think in future it will play a big part ....but I don't want to run AMOC with the idea
