  1. At work with snow on the ground, that's good but can now here RAIN hammering on the skylight!!! fed up doesn't come close! Hoping for later........................
  2. I knew I could smell it! snowing steady here now nr Tutbury albeit light but im excited none the less!
  3. Nothing yet here my way ( Tutbury). Very cloudy & feels positve, I swear I can smell it............. here's hoping, no work tomorrow!
  4. I'm trying very hard not to get excited (again) as I can't stand the let down BUT I have just watched the BBC video update & I wish I hadn't, no mention of snow just rain, rain!! Grrr
  5. I know how you feel, it's so depressing this lack of snow! Don't be downhearted as it's still early in the season & if this next week doesn't do it then february will! my son is in Cornwall, Falmouth.

  8. Good morning everyone, I usually follow the regional forums & sometimes contribute but now I have discovered this one, I'm hooked! Not knowlwdgable enough yet but I'm learning, thank you for all your enthusiastic posts, the suspence is killing me!

  10. Another dull day here in Staffordshire - a non event. However, just cheered myself up looking at the Christmas pre forecasts & it's looking hopeful for cold, just praying for the old white stuff ( need something to hope for in grey old November................)

  12. i'm 2miles from Tutbury & we have a thick covering still! Looks lovely even now, very different story just a few miles out, nearly all green, need some more to top it up! when i was little my mum used to say that when it had been sitting around for a few days it was waiting for more to come & take it away!

  14. Everywhere thick & white & still hammering down, few cm so far. Just been out to fill up bird feeders as they are eating late tnt. Rural here, no lamp post as such just my own to study at the bottom of the garden. How fantastic is this, at last!!!
  15. Light snow just started here - Nr Tutbury, getting thicker by the minute, excited just doesn't come close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Dream for the day for me ( & I suspect others too) Snow arriving very soon & sustaining for many hours, good hard frost & wake up to sparkly crisp day tomorrow to go out & play, wow! Another few hours tmr night & too deep to go to work ( more play)

  22. How exiciting is all this! I only have a few centimeters but more coming down so hoping..... on the down side for me my work is open boo! And i have a dodgy boiler but still, how great is all this!
