Taken from K7RA propagation pages:
The major sunspot group affecting us this week will
soon move off the visible solar disk, but there is a small sunspot
group on the other side of the sun.
-
You never know. From Spacewather.com:
AURORA WATCH: Later today or tomorrow, Earth will pass through a solar wind stream spewing from a coronal hole on the sun. Sky watchers in Alaska, Canada and Scandinavia should be alert for auroras.
-
Thanks for the alert Kar
from Spaceweather.com also:
Magnetic fields around sunspot 735 have been twisting and growing more complicated since the beginning of the week. If the trend continues, there could be a magnetic eruption--in other words, a solar flare. NOAA forecasters estimate a 15% chance of an M-class flare during the next 24 hours.

North and west have it best i think..we've had apologies of snow all evening, and still not reached 1cm

Its not hard to believe its just because im more west than you and also Cumbernauld is 154m above sea level so we are pretty high up!!
Im not joking when i say we have about 6-7cm of snow!! its truley amazing!!
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I reckon you've got a snow machine installed where you stay, and it's on full power at the moment
We've had constant snow, but it's not big flakes...maybe 0.75cms now
-
Well we had about 1hr 30mins of heavy snow!! and its now finally stoped but the whole place is a whiteout!! about 6-7cm of lying snow!! looks like im gonna get snowed in! lol YIPEE!!
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hard to believe J@mmie!
I'm only along the road from you, and we only got 0.5cms on ground.
Cumbernauld has always had it's own weather system! Give us some, please?
