snow has been unreal today, been snowing non stop since around 10am, a few inches lying too

still moderate/heavy now with good size flakes adding to whats lying

I'm shocked too hear Hebburn has got nothing(its only literally a mile from where i live), either you havant been looking out your window or this is very localised.

I must stress that you got too look carefully too see any evidence of snow though, the flakes are small and its only a small dusting, hopefully we get the more moderate bit that everyone else is reporting soon.

nar i looked lots of times out of the window, and yur literally only up the road from me haha, cos im on victoria road west lol .

Where in Jarrow are you? I'm at Maple Street, just near to Hebburn.

Only settling on the car windows here, looking a bit slushy on the roofs but nothing on pavements.

Could get very icy tonight, the Met Office have a warning out for ice.

I'm in Hebburn too at the minute on victoria road west, its lying on the grass and the pavement in my front and back gardens. You probs know the roads a busy road too, but its lying on the path on the otherside too

the snow was so good this morning/afternoon, even witnessed some thunder snow at about half 9!

i was in english and there was a flash of lightening during a heavy snow shower then some thunder to follow!

school sent us home at about 14:15 lol, then the stupid snow turned to rain at about 5:00 proper disapointed to be honest

hopefully the ne'easterly during this week will be better

Another small snow flurry here at the moment, those convective clouds are getting closer according to the satalite images so the fun and games will hopefully start soon.

I'm not massively knowledgeable about any of this, but i do agree with the warming/cooling phases. I think the government are overreacting a bit when you see how hot the earth has once been. Yes C02 can drive the climate but wont it eventually come to a point where it will balance out, the earth can cope i'm sure. Anyways, its good news if we are now in a cooling phase, that means more chance of snow for jarrow!

Its been rubbish recently, a cooling phase would be amazing. Be optimistic and take into consideration that part of this may be right
